Dr. Rustam K. DeVitre is a Prosthodontist /Orthodontist/Implant Dentist whose expertise lies in treating patients with complicated restorative needs including patients with temporo-mandibular joint disease. He is highly skilled and experienced in managing situations with challenging esthetics and in performing full mouth rehabilitations. Additionally, he is certified and excels in implant placement and restorations. He is also a ClearCorrect, invisible braces, provider. Dr. DeVitre has conducted research in Implants ,dental cements, dental ceramics, post and cores, as well as computer-aided design in dentistry. His work has been published in the Journal of Prosthodontic Dentistry amongst others.
Dr. DeVitre graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with a post graduate degree in Prosthodontics. Dr. DeVitre taught in the department of Restorative Dentistry as an Assistant Professor for over ten years before opening his own practice in the Back Bay neighborhood. He is a member of the Academy of Dental Science, American College of Prosthodontics, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and a past president of the Northeast Craniomandibular Society.
Dr. DeVitre is highly respected in Boston's dental community, and he currently serves as a director on the Dental Alumni Association's executive board at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. DeVitre's interests lie in evaluating new technologies in IMPLANT dentistry and in working with artistic and creative individuals

It felt like he tried hard to maximize revenue out of my visit. Took so long to summarize the recommendations of what I should do instead of just explaining it verbally in 2 minutes to check if I am up for it.
The total cost was much above expectations and industry standards.

I'm a nervous 26-year-old, who hadn't visited a dentist for years. Honestly, I was worried about the condition of my teeth before the appointment. But Doctor DeVitre was extremely friendly and helped me understand what exactly to expect and ease my nerves. Through our open conversations he was able to both educate and entertain me with his extensive knowledge and background. Doctor DeVitre is not only a very professional dentist, but also a lovely person to talk to! Also the receptionist, Vanessa (I think this is her name), was very kind and explained to me the coverage of my insurance and provided advice on how I could fully make use of my insurance.

Dr. DeVitre is a very kind man. His staff is affable and he is patient and gentle. He makes sure you understand what is happening and why and provides you with options. Dr. Devitre is extremely professional, diligent and caring. He knows the best specialists in Boston for work he doesn't perform like root canals. He has really gone out of his way to accommodate my schedule though I never feel rushed. His staff is also very polite and organized. It's a good team and you can tell that the experience and skill makes for better results. I would definitely recommend Dr. Devitre.

The most professional, friendly and helpful dentist practice I have ever been to. The front desk staff are outstanding and the hygienists and dentists are excellent. Dr. De Vitre is always warm and personable to me. He remembers me and my kids, and always asks after them. I have been going to him for 20+ years, during which time, I have needed extensive work: a bridge, several root canals and crowns, and gum surgery. He is a superb dentist who holds himself to the highest standard possible, and he believes in the craft and art of dentistry, and so the work he does is exceptional. He has not only saved my teeth and brought greater health to my mouth, he has given me a beautiful smile (albeit an expensive one), but a smile that continues to elicit comments from friends and strangers alike..
