Dr. Sameh Aknouk, a graduate of New York University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, has been serving the Bronx and NYC community for over 30 years. Dr. Aknouk is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
He and his staff speak English, Spanish, and Arabic, making him accessible to patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
He regularly participates in continuing education courses to stay current with the latest treatments and techniques in dentistry. This commitment allows him to offer his patients the most advanced, highest quality care and the most successful results.

Honestly awful experience. It took three hours for a simple checkup, it did not appear to be very busy.
Please avoid if you value you’re time at all. From what I heard from other patients there this is the norm.

The office was great and called to clear up any issues with my insurance. The experience overall was good but my husband had to wait a very long time for his appointment (over an hour) which was my only gripe at the place.

The guy wanted to do the survey for me and I told him no thank you. The cleaning was not good at all. I do not recommend them at all. I live in the area and wanted something closer. However, I’ll stick to my dentist at city smiles which is much better and worth the travel and wait.

He and his staff were completely unprepared. How do you not look at my X-rays and tell me what I “might” need? Unacceptable. We have been debating the cost for a month although my insurance company gave me the fee schedule and cost. I was called to schedule this appointment and the authorization hadn’t arrived so I waited 40 minutes for nothing. No apology for there lack of professionalism. I will not return and suggest you don’t go. Ever.

9 am appointment (first of the day); office didn't open until 9:15 am, wasn't seen until 10:10 am. Dentist spent less than 10 minutes cleaning and examining my teeth. Water and polish were all over my face. Won't be back.
