Dr. Mammen grew up in Green Bay, WI. He graduated high school from the prestigious Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts in 1991 and went on to complete his undergraduate studies in 1995 at Washington University in St. Louis, MO where he double majored in Anthropology and Biology.
Dr. Mammen attended dental school at one of the country's Ivy League Institutions, the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree in 1999. After finishing dental school, Dr. Mammen went on active duty as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He first completed a general dentistry residency at Fort Carson, CO in 2000. He then served as the Officer in Charge at two Army Camps in Korea. Dr. Mammen completed his military service as a staff General Dentist at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY.
Following his military service, Dr. Mammen moved to Connecticut where he became the first dental director at East Hartford Community HealthCare. He held this position from 2002-2007. During this time, Dr. Mammen also served as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he was responsible for supervising the students and residents in their treatment of patients. In 2005, with his continued commitment to education, Dr. Mammen became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (F.A.G.D.).
In 2008, Dr. Mammen and his family moved to Katy, Tx when he acquired his Houston based practice, The Smile Enhancement Center. In 2013, Dr. Mammen opened his 2nd office in Katy, Texas called Mint Family Dental. Dr. Mammen continues his commitment to excellence by providing the very best dental care to all of his patients at both offices.
