More about Dr. Sandra Chung, DDS
Dr. Sandra Chung received her DDS degree from Howard University College of Dentistry, followed by her General Practice Residency at North Shore University Hospital. Thereafter, she served as the first civilian Senior Dental Officer at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. While she enjoyed working at the Academy, she developed an increasing appreciation for the dental concerns of children, particularly children with special needs, since the birth of her daughter. Being a mom has blessed her with greater compassion and patience for children and empathy for their parents.
Dr. Chung continued her training and obtained her specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry at Mount Sinai Hospital and has been involved in several dental outreach programs, including the annual Give Kids a Smile®, Grace International, Inc., Port-au-Prince, Haiti and the Indian Health Service in Bethel, Alaska. Dr. Chung currently volunteers as an attending in the Department of Dental Medicine at Northwell Health and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and New York State Dental Association.
In her free time, Dr. Chung enjoys spending time with her family, binge watching shows on Netflix, practicing yoga and running in Central Park while listening to inspirational music on her phone.

Dr. Chung was great with our daughter. Very patient & great with her. We didnt have to wait long at all. Dr. Chung explained everything about the exam and was verry reassuring.
