Dr. Sangeetha Asokan is a native of India who completed her Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from the prestigious Madras Dental College, India. She worked serving the under-served population of Southern rural India providing comprehensive dental care until she moved to the US in 2006. She is proud of the numerous dental camps she organized in rural India, to create oral health awareness among children by educating teachers and parents.
Dr. Asokan has been a resident of Gwinnett County for a decade now. She was accepted at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree. She was a Dean’s List recipient and was also awarded the academic scholarship for the top International Dental Students during her time at Tufts. Dr. Asokan actively participates in various community outreach programs. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Medicine at Tufts helping students identify medical complexities of dental patients and aiding in planning dental treatment accordingly.
Dr. Asokan’s goal is to provide a positive experience and the best dental care with empathy and respect to her patients including both adults and kids. She is passionate about providing the best comprehensive treatment and focuses on the patients’ needs to maintain the best oral health. She constantly keeps herself current with new technology and research in dentistry through multiple CEs. She is fluent in English, Tamil, Telugu and can also communicate in Hindi and Kannada. The office staff at Peach Smiles also speaks Spanish and Haitian Creole. She enjoys reading books, music, and exploring new places with her family.

Best dentist appointment I've ever had. I generally dread the dentist but after my first visit at Peach Smiles I doubt I will dread it as much again. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The hygienist took the time to explain what was wrong and why it needed to be treated rather than just jumping to treatment plans. There was no nagging about flossing/brushing or judgement on my current state of dental health. It was refreshing! They even gave me a Starbucks gift card at the conclusion of my appointment. I learned unfortunately that they were out of network but I am sticking with them anyway!
