Born and raised in New York, Dr. Sharon Stern graduated from Columbia School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1988. By 1991 Dr. Stern had established Gentle Dental Care in Hoboken, and has been taking care of families in the tristate area ever since. Dr. Sterns dream of creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere has been realized here at 710 Washington Street. I wanted to foster the type of pleasant and professional office where the staff genuinely likes each other and our patients; and to prove that modern dentistry can be quite gentle. Our state-of-the-art facilities and careful attention to infection control and sterilization allows us to provide top-notch care in a comfortable setting. To provide the best possible care to her patients, Dr. Stern is dedicated to the philosophy of continuing education. It is imperative that health care providers keep current with the new technologies available, and to hone existing knowledge and skills. She has received certificates for advanced training in Periodontal Surgery from Albert Einstein College of Medicine as well as Full Mouth Rehabilitation from NYU. Dr. Stern has taken numerous courses throughout her career, including porcelain veneers, lumineers, orthodontics, Restylane and Juvederm dermal fillers, occlusion, rotary endodontics, and cosmetic bonding. She is also Invisalign certified.
Through continuing education and state of the art equipment, we are able to provide you and your family the high level of care you are looking for. Our team will give you a warm welcome and our ongoing commitment to your dental health.

Dr. Stern was absolutely amazing with my 3.5 year old. The appt started while I was filling out paperwork and was going so well I decided to stay out of the room until the end. She has so much patience and walked my son through why it’s so important to brush your teeth and the right way to do it.

It had been years since I had seen a dentist, and I was very scared that my experience with this dentist would be as bad as the last one I had, I'm happy to say that this was not the case in any way. Dr. Stern was both gentle and compassionate as she was clear with her explanations. She seemed very conscientious of my concerns and she took the time to make sure that Not only was I comfortable, but I was also leaving her office at the end with all the information I need to go forward. I would recommend dr. Stern to anyone looking for a good dentist, she's the best I've ever had.

This was the worst experience I have had. Billing, and ordering mistakes and not one apology. Dr. Stern's main concern is to collect your money. I had to come in three times for the same reason because they ordered the wrong fillers. No apology and no discount. I will never come here again.
