Dr. Mechael is awesome! Very friendly and very kind. She took her time with me and really explained the procedure and educated me about all the things you should be doing to take the best care of your teeth. The whole office staff was also very friendly and helpful! I’m actually looking forward to going back for follow ups! The only thing that was a little different to me, was that instead of having each patient in their own separate room, everyone is in one large room and you can hear other patients having their teeth worked on also…like with the drill. But it was very clean, tidy and efficient, great staff!

My name is Dr. Shatha Mechael, and during my 20 years of experience practicing dentistry, I learned and believed that it's important to understand and educate my patients with their current oral need. My mission is to provide the best quality dental care at an affordable price. At El Cajon Family Dental we treat our patients like family.
I am married and have three children. When I am not practicing dentistry and I am at home, I enjoy making all kinds of sweets, and watch Disney movies with my three little ones. I also, love traveling and enjoying the outside nature. I am a proud member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Diego County Dental Society.

I have issues with the dental chair as many do, I'm sure. I am very picky when choosing a dentist and after meeting her for my routine check up, I decided to go back to her office and have her treat me. I was overjoyed by her care and compassion. Dr. Mechael is great. She is very detailed, making sure everything is done right. While I don't care for dentists in general (most I had were very good however), she made me feel at ease, made me feel comfortable, kept asking if I was ok so it seemed she cared). I would highly recommend her to folks who need a dentist.

Worst dental experience I've ever had. Spent over 2 hours in chair getting tooth extracted that she never was able to remove. She gave up and referred me to oral surgeon. Was informed by a female staffer that Friday late afternoon is the worst time to make an appt. I WILL NOT RETURN

The staff were very friendly. I hope I always get to deal with the lady who helped me at the front desk when I arrived and Dr. Mechael each time I go in to get my work done and thereafter. This was the first time in more than 20 years I have been to a dentist where I felt that my health and that of my teeth were more important that whether or not they could buy a new car out of the work they could convince me to get done. These people are TRUE healthcare professionals and I will tell EVERYONE i know to go nowhere else.

I have been seeing Dr. Mechael for about 5 years. She understands my silly needs like allowing me to take breaks to close my mouth (when it is OK to do so), using caution with the cold water on my sensitive teeth, and she tells it to me honestly. I have recommended her to two other people. I am, however, particular to get her specifically to do my dental work.

Friendly and welcoming staff all around. You can tell they all really care from the office staff to the dentists. I have had 3 different dentists work on me and each of them greets me with a warm smile and takes interest in my life. They make me feel comfortable and I know I am in good hands with them! They never pressure me to get tons of work done at once and respect thy I need to space appointments out due to budgeting.I love this place and tell all my friends about it too. Highly recommend! I love everybody there. Dr Dalia Jamma is the best she was saying all the time you are going home with free pain. She stayed late just because she wants to make sure of patient satisfaction. I called the front desk and told her that I am in pain and can't wait for my appointment next week she said don't worry we will see you today. Robin and Nancy are so friendly. I would definitely recommend them to my friends
