Dr. Shirin Farhadian is a Board-Certified periodontist and dental implant specialist. Dr. Farhadian is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology with years of experience in the field of periodontist. She is also a level 3 anesthesiologist and provides oral and IV sedation for patients to help with their anxiety if needed. She preforms wisdom teeth removal under sedation, bone grafting, dental implants, surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatments, gum grafting, crown lengthening, gum bleaching, cancer screening and biopsy and many more procedure.
Dr. Farhadian has been involved in basic and clinical research in Periodontics and has published several articles in the field of Periodontics and bone tissue engineering. She has presented her clinical work and research nationally and internationally. In one of her advanced research projects, she studied over 2500 patients with Chronic Periodontitis to evaluate the synergistic effect of smoking and diabetes mellitus on treatment of these patients. Dr. Farhadian was one of the four finalists in the Balint Orban Memorial Competition clinical science at the American Academy of Periodontology 2019 Annual Meeting.
She is an active member of many professional associations including American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, and Dental honor society.
In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, exercising, cycling, hiking with her husband and their golden retrievers Cooper and Molly.
