It was a very comprehensive exam, and detailed explanation of her developmental dental stage. At this point we are waiting for more growth, and then figure out if ortho will be needed.

Dr. Sophia I. Bulucea was awarded her Certificate in Orthodontics after completing a two year post-graduate residency at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in the Department of Orthodontics. Concurrently, she was also awarded her Masters in Dental Science (MSD).
Previously, she was awarded her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She completed her pre doctoral requirements in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at the University of California, Davis.
To keep up with constantly evolving orthodontic technology, Dr. Bulucea regularly attends courses focusing on the latest advances in orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics and implantology.
Dr. Bulucea is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Pacific Coast Orthodontic Society, American Dental Association and the Santa Clara County Dental Society.
