I was born and raised a Huskies, Mariners, and Seahawks fan across the water in Seattle. Growing up in the Northwest I grew fond of the great outdoors and enjoy camping, hiking, snowboarding, basketball, ping-pong, photography and raising my two dogs, Wookiee and Kongsoon. I received my doctorate from New York University College of Dentistry. My love for dentistry led me to participate in United Way's Community Resource Exchange dental mobile van for the homeless population, Smiling Faces Going Places (a dental van providing dentistry to underprivileged children), Oral cancer walk fundraisers raising awareness and doing screenings for oral cancer, and providing services to the community in various King County Public Health Dental Clinics around the region. Most recently I had the opportunity to treat the needs and desires of my patients in Palm Desert, CA doing significant smile makeovers and smile reconstructions. I also love gadgets and dental science is advancing all the time which allows me to employ the newest technology and techniques to provide the most up-to-date care for my patients. Currently, I am also advising on a University of Washington research team for a new dental technology. I am versed in all phases of dentistry including certifications in tissue laser dentistry (by the World Laser Institute), oral surgery, Invisalign and implants. I have also been awarded as a Fellow by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. More importantly, I believe in giving ethical and honest treatment to all of my patients.

Bellevue Wellness Dental is the best. The staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Chen is super friendly and honest. With my former dentist, I use to feel like every time I went to his office he and his staff were having a bad day, they were always so rude and rough. At Bellevue Wellness you are seen and treated with respect. Dr. Chen and his staff are super gentle and take pride in their work and are genuine and sweet. I actually like going to the dentist now. :)

I do not like going to the dentist, but when I walk into Bellevue Wellness Dental I never have a negative feeling. The staff is friendly and amazing, I couldn't recommend Dr Chen enough. Before I started seeing him I dreaded having my teeth taken care of. But as of today, after having Orthodontics done, some cosmetic work, and whiting, not to mention the cleanings and fillings.. this is the best experience I've ever had. And I am so happy with my smile.

My long-term dentist hadn't kept up with the field. Dr. Chen did a through examination and determined that I could have implants! He seated the front ones this week, and I am exceedingly happy. You owe it to yourself to check out Dr. Chen!

I've been a patient with many dentists in the past due to attrition, moving from east coast to west, etc. Of all the dentists I've had over the years, Dr. Stanford Chen ranks among the very best.
When deciding to change from my current Seattle dentist to one on the Eastside, it was hard to give up a good dentist relationship and go with an "unknown younger dentist". At the time Dr. Chen had only been in practice for approximately 5 years. A good decision! Dr. Chen is professional, gentle, detail-oriented, and uses the most current equipment. He knows what he's doing and gives his all to his patients.

Dr. Chen and his staff are always friendly, and take the time to explain dental work, procedures and billing. Dr. Chen also follows up with his patients when they've had a more complicated procedure - like gum surgery, to make sure the patient is healing properly and not having unusual discomfort or pain. We were very happy with the results from the surgery. They have a wonderful practice, and I would highly recommend his office!

This was my first visit to this doctor. He was professional, designed a plan for my dental treatment as well as try and help me identify some issues I was having. I was so impressed by the doctor and his prices and special offer that I not only paid for what I needed done I also bought a Sonicare toothbrush.
