About Dr. Chelsea Mortell Petisme
The thing I love most about being a dentist is my patients. That might sound clichéd, as most dentists feel affection for their patients, but mine are special. Some have known me since I was born, some were my teachers, some grew up with me, and some I’m just getting to know. I am thankful to be caring for my friends and neighbors.
I always knew I wanted a career in dentistry. The profession is mentally challenging and hands-on. I get to meet and spend time with interesting people while building long-term relationships with them. I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University, which prepared me to provide the highest level of care.
I’m excited by the constant improvements in technology that allow dentists to help our patients receive the most comfortable, effective, and efficient care. I’m even more passionate about getting patients excited about their dental health. If someone values their oral health, then they take care of it. My team and I focus a lot of our workday on education and encouraging people to take control of their smile.

Chelsea Mortell Petisme, DMD, FAACA is an amazing dental health provider person. I have pretty bad dental phobia and Ehlers-Danlos. She is both knowledgeable of, and more than willing to work with the challenges of both. Everyone went slow, made sure I understood what was going on, what was about to happen, and was so SO NON-judgemental about how long it had been since I'd been in since the last time or my complete failure to follow-up with the treatment plan.
We set another treatment plan up, sorted out how to best utilize my dental benefits, and scheduled the next appointment. Am I scared? Absolutely. Do I know that they'll do everything they can to make my experience as calm and painless as possible. Also absolutely!

Dr. Chelsea and her team are nothing short of absolutely awesome! They fit me in on a day when they were heavily booked and made it work. I really appreciated that. They made me a crown right in the office and I must say, it was a work of art! The whole team was super nice and they figured out how to keep my cost minimal. This is a top notch dentistry operation without a doubt.

Overall a great experience at Juanita Family Dentistry. The staff was very friendly , kind and professional. They are very good and sweet with kids and as a plus my girls were thrilled with their Pac Man video game machine that kept them entertained while I was filling out some forms. The staff and Dr Chelsea answered all my questions with no rush taking the time to explain/educate me in a patient friendly manner about the diagnoses , treatment options and procedures . I totally recommend Juanita Family Dentistry.

This office is so clean and well designed and the staff were so friendly! The doctor really took her time to explain everything to me and made sure I was comfortable throughout my appointment. They do push for Invisalign and/or clear retainers, but if it's not something you're interested in doing they don't try to pressure you too much. The dental assistant was so funny and took great care when doing X-Rays and polishing. I highly recommend this office!

They made me feel so welcomed and Dr. Chelsea is beyond knowledgeable, I typically dread going to the dentist but this is the cleanest my teeth have ever been after a cleaning. Thank you to all!!

(Too long to read? Just choose this office as your dentist. You won’t be disappointed and will be pleasantly surprised) This office is incredible. I needed to switch dentists offices due to a move and was looking for either weekend or early morning appts. 7:30 time slot out by 9:15- so they are very thorough do lots of check ins for understanding, spend time educating, do scans and help you read what is going on, check for bad habits (apparently I had a sub par toothbrush experience and they educated me and set me up with a meantime brush while I order a new sonicare). Super upfront with pricing, educate you on your insurance coverage prior to appointment and after if they have any suggestions (like a night guard or Invisalign), zero pressure environment. You can tell they have spent a lot of time crafting each patient experience point- from the lobby set up, to check in, to cleaning and dental work. This is far and above most dental experiences and I will be recommending to anyone.

This is only my second dentist in my entire life because I am really particular about who touches my teeth. Dr. Chelsea and her team are phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and explained everything they were doing and finding very well. They really took the time making sure the scans were good and when cleaning my teeth. Dr. Chelsea and her team were really gentle with my mouth and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. Will definitely continue to see her when it is time for my check ups.

Friendly staff & fun office! Chelsea was so kind (and stylish)! She explained different care options and the best route moving forward. Loved that they have an in-house patient coordinator, she went over prices/options after the appointment. Loved the office-it’s beautiful and has great music! Awesome upbeat vibe totally different from any other office which made going to the dentist so much better. Dr. Chelsea and her assistant Deborah were fabulous, explained everything to me. Dr. Chelsea is great. She is knowledgeable, helpful and very personal. Michelle the hygienist was also good as well. This was the first time seeing her. Check in process was easy and the renovated office is so inviting and clean. I will highly recommend this dentist. They take children and adult patients.

This dentist pushed me to make Invisalign, after I tried to make an appointment for another treatment, they told me, that they not guarantee quality without Invisalign. She is the first dentist, who in general told me, that I need Invisalign and I have good tooths, every dentist told me that, before and already after that dentist.
