Dr. Stella Kim grew up in Queens, New York, and attended Syracuse University earning a degree in biology. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Kim furthered her clinical skills by completing a one-year General Practice Residency at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare hospital in Utica, New York. Here she expanded her scope of dentistry and refined her skills in root canal therapy, dental implants, and pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Kim has been actively participating in additional continuing education to provide state-of-the-art dental care to her patients. She completed The Dental Implant Continuum and The Live Dental Implant Training by Implant Seminars. She is currently undertaking a comprehensive series of courses at the prestigious Dawson Academy to master harmonious occlusion and full-mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Kim is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Kim seeks to be a personable dentist to her patients since she sees many families in her practice. Her philosophy is to offer conservative treatment options to her patients while maintaining optimal dental health. She is honored to inherit Dr. Peter Hanna’s legacy whose family dentistry has existed in Old Town for over 60 years through both him and his father before him.
