Dr. Tamer Eshra graduated from The Medical School at Cairo University in Egypt and completed a one-year internship at Cairo University hospitals where he was trained in different branches of medicine. He joined an orthopedics residency program where he completed the first two years in orthopedics and general surgery.
After moving to the United States, Dr. Eshra attended a very competitive dentistry program at Columbia University in NY, where he spent four years and earned a doctorate degree in dental surgery. He pursued a general dentistry residency at the Brooklyn Hospital where he focused his attention on all aspects of general dentistry including: implant placement and restorations, root canal treatment, crown and bridge work, full-mouth reconstruction, Invisalign, cosmetic bonding, Smile Makeovers Teeth Whitening, porcelain veneers, fillings, onlays and inlays.
During his residency he also received extensive training on TMJ and facial pain management, including trigger points injections and occlusal appliances. Dr. Eshra combined his experience in medical orthopedics surgeries and dental oral health. He continued his passion for dentistry and eagerly sought the highest and most experienced dental implant resources in order to learn from the dental implant pioneers. Dr. Eshra is a Surgical Implant Fellow of Misch Implant Institute. Currently, he is attending Dr. Pikos Implant Institute.
Continuing his effort to provide the best dental care for his patients, Dr. Eshra has received an advanced education in different branches of dentistry such as soft tissue grafting, advanced bone grafting and sinus augmentation.
Dr. Eshra aims to make dental procedures as comfortable as possible for his patients. Therefore he is licensed to provide both oral and IV sedation along with nitrous gas sedation, all which provide comfort to the patient and eliminate anxiety during dental treatment. This helps both the patient and the doctor achieve the highest level of care as well as a beautiful smile. Dr. Eshra is a member of the American Academy of Laser Dentistry which also helps him comfort his patients during treatment of gum disease and bone loss.
As a certified provider for immediate fixed total mouth rehabilitations he uses the highest level of implant technology to change your smile to a fixed beautiful smile in a one-day procedure. Dr. Eshra is a certified provider for Hybridge and N-Sequence Full Mouth Over Implant Restoration.
The center of Dr. Eshra's attention is his family. He enjoys spending time traveling, fishing and relishing the beautiful beaches with family and friends. Dr. Eshra was awarded a black belt in Karate at the age of fifteen and enjoys watching soccer.
