I am the world's biggest dentist-office chicken but Dr. Booth and his team made me feel comfortable and cared for. First-time patient forms were easy, reception was welcoming. X-rays are always challenging for me but the hygienist was patient and accommodating. Dr. Booth always does new patient teeth cleanings himself, which is a unique practice and, in my opinion, a great idea. He was thorough, gentle, and friendly. I need to have an old crown replaced and, while I'm not exactly thrilled about that, it's the diagnosis I expected. I feel confident in going back to Dr. Booth's office for this procedure.

I arrived at the office 15 minutes early for an evening emergency appointment. After I complimented the receptionist for everything being electronic (including the HIPPA form...awesome!), I was taken back without a wait. Great! After looking at my infection, Dr. Booth wanted to take a panoramic xray. That was fine, but I asked if I could have a minute to verify with my insurance that they would cover a panoramic xray since they typically do not and I'd had the experience in the past of getting large surprise dental visit bills for panoramic films (typically it's not covered since non-panoramic are less expensive and adequate). Not even enough time had passed for me to get my insurance card out of my bag and Dr. Booth became immediately frustrated with me. Even though we were still early for my schedule appointment time and even though it usually takes about five minutes for me to verify with my insurance, his demeanor changed 100%. He became frustrated, upset, and he said he no longer wanted to treat me.
I was in pain. I was patient with him suddenly getting upset. I was polite and explained my concern nicely, calmly, and appropriately. And I left flabbergasted, dumbfounded, and untreated after having drove an hour and a half to the appointment.
I left BEFORE my scheduled appointment was even set to begin.
I guess other patients never ask for a few minutes to check if something will be covered?
