Dr. Burkhart began practicing in 1996 and is focused on general dentistry for adults and children. He believes that prevention and early treatment result in optimum dental health. Dr. Burkhart received his DDS degree with Cum Laude honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio after graduating with honors from the University of North Texas in Denton. In addition to his focus on prevention, Dr. Burkhart's ranging expertise includes Implants, Cosmetic Dentistry and Invisalign.
Dr. Burkhart is a member with the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society, and the Academy of Sports Dentistry. He has served as the Dental Advisor for the University of Texas Men's Athletic Program since 1997. Dr. Burkhart has also volunteered his dental services in a mission effort in Mexico.
Dr. Burkhart spends his personal time with his wife, Kim and their two children, Savannah and Spencer. He volunteers through his Church, Riverbend, feeding the homeless as part of a team on a Mobile Loaves and Fishes Truck. He also enjoys participating in his sons Boy Scout Troop where he attends campouts and is a Merit Badge Counselor for Dentistry . Dr. Burkhart enjoys cooking, golf, football, water sports, and attending University of Texas sporting events.
