Your dental team is headed by Dr. William J. Recktenwald, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Class of 1981. Dr. Recktenwald has three years of Naval experience and taught at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Recktenwald is a member of the Delaware State Dental Association, The American Dental Association, and the academy of General Dentistry where he received his fellowship award in 1987. He is also a member of the academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Dentist for Oral Conscious Sedation. Dr. Recktenwald has had a successful dental practice in Delaware County, PA since 1985, and in, Delaware since 2002.

When I got in the technician was friendly then the doc came in and recommended I have a cavity filled with my crown. I said ok. Then another Dr came in and told me I had to wait to get my crown. She told me I had to go back to the waiting room. I told her I was getting a filling as well. She was like oh ok then walked out. I was moved to another room when I walked down the hall a dental assistant was eating. Then the doc worked on trying to fix my crown. Then another Dr came in fixed my crown. She told me how she had so much work to do. After she finished someone else came in told me I could leave then another assistant told me to come back, to get my filling. I sit in the chair for about 5 minutes then the dentist comes in and says he has to do my filling another time not enough staff. Throughout the visit I could hear people arguing over who was going to do what and other things. Very unprofessional.

Had a broken tooth that needed to be addressed. Front desk staff were excellent and then the team that did all the work was great. Root canal and crown all in the space of 4 hours with no fuss or problems. Definitely pleased with the experience:

Dr. very cold and not informative about appointment, I wanted a partial because I lost my old one, Dr said to me " I hope you don't think you will chew better cause you wont" Then starting telling I needed a crown and I had a cracked, actually he didn't tell me I need that , business office manager did Romana which was,very informative, I guess he thinks I know how to read x-rays, I guess goes the days when dentist discuss what you need to have done . I will go back due to insurances purposes after that I will find a more new dentist that can explain what I need and why

I thought my visit today went very well, especially for someone who has a bit of a fear of dentists, is overdue for maintenance & cleaning, and has a broken tooth. Thankfully the broken tooth is not causing me pain and I will be returning in a couple of weeks for a root canal. I am confident if I were in pain the procedure would have been scheduled right away. One of the most high tech offices I've ever visited, is pretty busy but also feels fairly relaxed with friendly staff!

It was not clear on what was the best treatment plan. I was not fully explained what the next process needed to be. I was unable to understand the hygienist due to the accent. I had to fill out a paper check in form when I advised it was already done online. Poor checkout service.

The Dr pulled my tooth .. I was in so much tooth pain and physically exhausted., I had been up ALL night with a horrible tooth ache, nothing helped! Thank you Christiana Medical Center for seeing me as an emergency at 6:30 am . Much earlier then my zoc doc scheduled appointment . As soon as the Dr gave me novicaine I felt instant relief. It was then they took the X-ray after I was numb thank God... The pulling out went fast .. And I was sore for a few hours ..Advil helped ..
.. It's 3pm now and I can say I'm in NO PAIN . You don't appreciate no pain until u have been in so much .. Thank you for your kindness today .

I was highly impressed with this office! I have a high anxiety with dentists due to past experiences and had stayed away due that factor. I came in with anxiety and felt comfortable right away! I need some work but they were caring and compassionate and they are going to fix my teeth... I am happy that conscious sedation is able to be given by this office - as it takes my anxiety level down a lot. Go and see them--- especially if your a nervous patient like me :)

Every thing went will except this time I did not receive any pain medications before I left to aide me until I was able to reach a pharmacy to have my prescriptions filled or purchase something else to help with the pain. The next time I'll bring some with me just In case this happens again.

I have more than a normal fear but closer to a phobia of dentists and dentist offices. Everyone from the front office receptionist to the hygienist to the dentist to the insurance specialist made me feel as comfortable as possible. They were professional but friendly. They scheduled my consultation appointmentconsultation appointment for me very quickly and I was scheduled for my follow up appointment to addresee the issue causing me pain for the very next day.

Worst experience ever, made an appointment for an consultation and cleaning. I got neither, just a whole bunch of X-rays and a long wait. Dentist came in the room for 1 mins if that, didn't even introduce his self or have a conversation with me. But i left with a billing plan stating i need a root canal and other work done. Do you really expect me to have a dentist that can't even spend 5 mins with me for a so called consultation to do a root canal on me, I DON'T THINK SOO!!!!! He has numerous assistants that come in and out of the room, they don't even introduce their selves, but arguing about why are the gloves so high on the wall all while i am in the chair. Appointment was at 1:45 didn't leave til 3:15...just for some X-rays and a estimate of charges for work. Beware if your going to book an appointment with this office. My time is valuable and close to two hours of my time was a complete waste, looking for another dentist to complete my cleaning
