I came in for the emergency dental visit. The wait time was reasonable (around 15 minutes).The doctor is very professional, found the problem and resolved it on a spot.

My appointment was originally scheduled for 2 pm and she asked to move it to 6:30 pm. My cleaning started at 7:15 pm. She was very nice though. Sweet lady. They don’t floss as a part of the cleaning process FYI!

I went here for an appointment and someone was there before I arrived (early for my appointment) and she had an emergency so they treated her and left me to sit in the waiting room for over an hour before I even sat in a chair. Then I finally get in the chair and she is still working on another patient for another 30 minutes. So all together I waited about an hour and 45 minutes before I was seen.
As for the service— the only reason I’m giving satisfactory is for the gentleman Felix, who was an absolute delight (when he wasn’t getting yelled at by this woman). Oh, and she wasn’t allowing him to suction, so I was literally choking on my own spit the entire time. It wasn’t until I started to cough that she would yell out “SUCTION” and be annoyed that she hadn’t to stop the work for a moment to spare me my oxygen.
She yelled at me, did nothing but tell me to relax, let’s be clear— I’m not good with the dentist at all I get scared very easily. Felix understood that, but because it was late now and I’m sure on a Friday night she wanted to get out of there so to get things rolling instead of just not going too rough. However, if we back track to the beginning of this review you’ll see that I had arrived early for my appointment (that only took about an hour to handle once she actually began working on me) , so had you not let another women who had no appointment in before me you would’ve already completed my work over an hour ago had you started at my appointment time. Yes, I understand things happen and sometimes the time doesn’t work out, but an hour and 45 minutes is insane and unreasonable.
I’d also like to add, that she said my stitches need to stay in for at least a week and then peoceeded to tell me how she was going on vacation, so I needed to come in on Wednesday (three days earlier than a week)
Completely unprofessional, very rude, Felix is amazing.

I, too, work in a medical office but I've never heard of paying your copay plus a deductible prediction for services that were rendered on that day. Usually, you bill and once a remittance comes in, you deal with payment then. I suppose a lot of people duck on on their bills in that office.

This dental office's administration is terrible.
1) Always have to wait 1+ hour(s) even you have an appointment and arrived on time
2) The lady at the desk is always answering calls even you are already in conversation with her
3) The doctor does not know why you are there for even you had already said/left notes using Zocdoc about the purpose of visit and seemed not prepared
4) This office refuses to prepare bill for the patient; no explanation of charges

It's one thing to wait, it's another thing entirely to never even be given a simple update or explanation about how long you might need to expect (plan) to wait or why you're being made to wait so long... No communication! Despite the 2.5 hour wait, this disastrous misfortune might've been somewhat avoided by some simple communication.

Dental equipment is old and obsolete, everything in the office is old fashioned. I spent there 2 hours and saw only one patient. X-ray machine is old - that i saw this type in my childhood. I came to get my one tooth treated and instead they x-rayed me 8 teeth for no reason, just to charge me extra. When i came in they made me fill out the entire application that i have already filled out on the website prior to my appointment. I would never recommend to anyone and won't go there again! This was a very bad experience

The appointment I made via ZocDoc wasn't registered. I had to wait over 5 hours, and I had a newborn. They didn't care. The other guy waiting who did have a regular appointment via them also had to wait like 3 hours at least.
They weren't able to find my insurance, then Dr. Gelman was just outdated in her practice I think. She also told me it was absolutely wrong to breastfeed my child while on antibiotics, which is not necessarily true. Most physicians now agree the benefits of BFing are more. She gave me the impression I shouldn't even consider.
After feeling so bad when I was destroyed after such a long wait (with my newborn there!), she was trying to be nice, but it didn't work....

Her office assistant was warm, personal and inviting. I appreciated the soft music on in the background and the natural sunlight coming through the windows and the bird chirping outside. The dentist greeted me several times while attending the patient next door. She handled the X-Rays and cleaning herself which I especially found personal and professional. Unlike many offices that try to sell you the deluxe treatment packages, she was very kind, honest and practical in her approach and indicated the teeth that needed further attention and why but did not probe or push. I will joyfully go back to her.

Dr Yevgeniya Gelman showed me what needed to be fixed and explained in great detail how we would go about it. The cleaning was painless. Extremely professional and caring. my appt was at 1pm the dr didn't show up till 2pm. the receptionist didn't know there was a 1pm appt. they didn't accept the zoc doc check in form, I had to fill out another one when I got their. The dentist got really upset when I told her she has to get my medicine info from the zoc doc check in form, It took her 10 minutes to come back with that info..

Dr. Gelman is very proficient in her work. I have been going to her for 4 years now. She did a great job with root canal. I was very much scared initially but she was patient and calm. I would recommend Dr. Gelman to anyone.

The staff was very nice especially her assistant . The doctor doesn't speak much which I didn't like. I had to ask her all the questions it felt like pulling teeth! Haha.. besides that locations convenient for me so that's y I'd probably go back.

The wait was 2hrs + and to top it off she was very rough (to the point of bleeding - never has anyone made me bleed or hurt so much for a regular check-up). I'll stick to my regular dentist from now on.

Excellent in every way!
She took me as an out of towner with an emergency and treated me very professionally and compassionately. She safely and quickly managed my pain as she worked. The results were great too. I am an Instructor of Nursing and felt safe and well supported in her skillful hands.
