Yunhee Choi, DMD, earned her dental degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she received the Joseph F. Volker Award for selflessly helping classmates throughout dental education. She also completed a one year Orthodontic Internship at the Ohio State University (OSU).
Dr. Choi served as the President of the UAB chapter of the Alabama Academy of General Dentistry (ALAGD), an active member of Student National Dental Association (SNDA), and a volunteer for Give Kids a Smile. She also volunteered to provide a free-of-charge dental care to underserved populations at the Cahaba Health Care Valley Center.
She loves practicing all aspects of general dentistry, including, but not limited to, oral surgery, endodontics, and orthodontics. She received an advanced endodontics training from the professors at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Dr Choi has completed one year of Orthodontic Internship at the OSU and two-years of American GP Orthodontics Course. She is also a certified provider of 6 months smiles and Invisalign ®. Through these extensive training in orthodontics, Dr. Choi is able to help you achieve the best possible smile you deserve by providing comprehensive orthodontic care.
Dr. Choi is very thorough in her approach to providing dental care and takes pride in treating her patients with empathy. Bright Smiles strives to provide high-quality dental care with a goal of achieving optimum oral health for all our patients and Dr Choi embodies these principles.
