He completed an internship in Orthopaedic Surgery and a residency in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has extensive training and experience with arthroplastic repairs of the hip and knee, including a year of specialty training in adult reconstruction. Dr. Baxter has performed hundreds of revisions for complex hip and knee problems such as prosthetic failures, infections, and periprosthetic fractures. He believes in case-specific care because every patient is unique. He specializes in total hip and knee replacements, partial knee replacement, resurfacing of the total joint, as well as the repair of deformities. Outside of medicine, he enjoys fly fishing, snowboarding, road cycling, auto restoration, and gardening.
