Would 100 percent recommend Dr. Adam Fechner to anyone looking for a very kind, knowledgeable , excellent beside manor , and over all great person/doctor. Felt exteremly comfortable with him from the very first minute I met him. He was proactive in getting a plan in action , and made me feel comforted to know he was going to help me achieve my goal of a successful pregnancy. Couldn't be happier I chose him as my doctor.

Dr. Fechner is an attending physician at University Reproductive Associates. After growing up in NJ, he attended Harvard University, where he graduated with honors. He then received his MD from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, where he also completed his residency in OB/GYN. Following residency, Dr. Fechner completed an additional 3 years of subspecialty training in REI at UMDNJ, where he was trained by the other URA physicians in the techniques of assisted reproductive technology and minimally invasive surgery. He is board certified in OB/GYN.
Dr. Fechner has particular interest in minimally invasive surgery to correct problems associated with infertility, menstrual disorders and pelvic pain. He was trained to operate with the da Vinci surgical robot during his residency and has continued to hone his skills throughout his fellowship, operating both with Dr. McGovern as well as with a gynecologic oncologist to learn advanced surgical skills. He is currently offering robotic surgery to appropriate patients for the treatment of uterine fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic adhesions and ovarian cysts as well as for tubal reanastamosis following a previous sterilization procedure.
Dr. Fechner’s clinical interests include endometriosis, pelvic pain, in-vitro fertilization, anovulation/PCOS and hypothalamic amenorrhea (menstrual problems caused by stress , disordered eating or strenuous exercise). He has published numerous papers on a variety of topics, and his current research interests include the endometrium (uterine lining) as well as the potential role of vitamin D in infertility.

Dr. Fechner is the absolute best Reproductive Endocrinologist. His practice and compassion were endless along the way. All along our journey he explained everything to my husband and I on a level that we could understand. He answered each and every one of our questions. I highly recommend Dr. Fechner to any couple who needs assistance having a baby. His incredible bedside manner will put you instantly at ease. We traveled 35 minutes over the GW bridge just to be cared for by Dr. Fechner and we could do it all over again. He is truly one of a kind. We are so fortunate to have him care for us and help us achieve our dream of becoming a family. The URA staff also was awesome. Every one at the office truly cared about me and my husband. Another perk is I never waited more than 5 minutes in the office. The staff is efficient and ready to help you.

I was very nervous about seeing a fertility specialist, but immediately Dr. Fechner put me completely at ease. He explained every process thoroughly and made me feel comfortable by helping me understand what was going to happen. I am now almost 9 weeks pregnant and am so grateful for Dr. Fechner!
