We at the Friedman Psychology Group believe in working in collaboration with our patients to uncover and better understand the underlying causes pertaining to the symptoms of depression, anxiety, and eating disorders, among others. We believe that through this understanding, a true and lasting change is possible. We respect our patients, and understand the responsibilities inherent in conducting therapy. Therefore, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality. We have worked and continue to work diligently to make sure we provide the best outpatient treatment experience possible.
Dr. Adam Friedman has successfully worked with the eating disorder population over the past ten years. He was trained at The Renfrew Center, and completed his doctoral dissertation on Anorexia Nervosa and Self-Mutilation, and this paper is currently being edited for submission into a published book. He has a strong psychoanalytic background, and has trained with the Southeast Florida Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychology. Dr. Friedman was a finalist for the Max Hutt Award at Nova Southeastern University, given to the most promising psychoanalytic clinician of the year. Dr. Friedman is also featured in HBO’s award-winning documentary on eating disorder treatment, entitled, "Thin".

Dr. Friedman saved our daughter, who was dying of her anorexia. He went over and above with our family and we knew we could always count on his guidance and support.
