Dr. Qureshi is expertly trained in a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions including fluoroscopic guided spinal procedures, epidural and facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, sympathetic blocks, discography, radiofrequency ablation, Minimally Invasive Spine Procedures, Electro diagnostic studies and advanced endoscopic discectomies.
Dr. Qureshi also specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of arthritis, fractures and sprains and traumatic injuries of the spine. He is certified in the use of ultrasound guidance for the application of ortho-biologic and synthetic agents including platelet rich plasma, stem cells and visco supplementation and Neurolysis with Botox.
Dr. Qureshi treats every patient as a unique individual and tailors treatment plans for their specific needs. He continues to investigate and train in the most advanced techniques for the benefit of his patients.
Dr. Qureshi joins Thompson MD as an Interventional Physiatrist. After completing his medical training at Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Qureshi concluded an internship in General Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Qureshi’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at SUNY Upstate University Hospital was followed by his fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at Alabama Orthopedic, Spine and Sports Medicine Associates.
During his fellowship, he worked as an inpatient physiatrist at St. Vincent Hospital East and Trinity Hospital Center in Birmingham.
