From a patient’s perspective, an eye evaluation is simply viewed as a means to obtain a prescription for glasses or contact lenses. However, Our primary focus is to provide you with comprehensive eye care services that preserve your eyesight and enhance your vision. Your eye health and well being is our concern. In our office we use our skills, advanced training and state-of-the-art equipment to take care of your most precious sense, vision.
Dr. Gonzalez was born in Cuba and raised in Puerto Rico. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from Jacksonville University, Florida and his Doctor of Optometry from Inter American University school of Optometry.
Dr. Gonzalez completed his Therapeutic Optometry residency in Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. He is an Adjunct Professor of Optometry with Inter American University and a frequent speaker in national and international eye conferences.

I can't say enough about how happy we are with Dr. Gonzalez! I found him on Zoc Doc and my husband and I had our eye exams with him. He put me in a lovely pair of Prada frames and was so knowledgeable about exactly what my eye issues were. When my daughters needed eye exams I didn't even consider using another doctor. He was amazing with them. He took time to just talk to them and make them comfortable, and perfectly diagnosed and solved their vision issues. He does not "sell" glasses, even advising that my youngest could wait until after summer break to get hers, as she would not be doing a lot of reading and her prescription might change. Both girls found frames they loved, and the staff was so pleasant and fun, taking their time to make sure they were happy. Katie even fitted their lenses right then so they were able to walk out with their new glasses! We live almost 30 miles away, but it is still worth it to have such great care!

My husband and I both went in because his office honored both of our separate insurance carriers. We were running late, but they still saw us quickly. Everyone was helpful, friendly and happy! The Dr was honest with my husband, telling him exactly how bad his eyesight wasn't, saying "You can buy glasses and get about a 20% increase, but If you were my brother, I'd tell you to save your money and wait till it's more urgent." They set me up with beautiful and surprisingly affordable Prada frames and everyone was so patient with my indecisiveness, helping me to make my decision. We will be using them in the future, for ourselves and our daughters!

Dr. Gonzalez was very knowledgable and made me feel at home. He took time to get to know me as a person as well as my medical history. I would recommend him for sure.
