About Dr. Lilit Saakova
Dr. Lilit Saakova was born in Armenia and moved to Plano, Texas, when she was four years old. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences, graduating in 2019. Since the summer of 2019, Dr. Saakova has been practicing optometry with a strong passion for humanitarian work. She volunteers with the Lions Club, providing eye exams to low-income communities through a mobile eye clinic van. Additionally, she has rotated through two VA hospitals in Oklahoma and Tennessee, offering eye exams to veterans. Dr. Saakova also participated in “Care Harbor” in Los Angeles, California, where doctors served over 300 patients by providing comprehensive eye exams and free glasses. She is fluent in both English and Russian.

Loved my visit! She was very knowledgeable and able to examine my eyes and explain everything that was happening to my eyes and provide me with a solution and action plan. I would highly recommend!! I will be back! Don’t let the fact that it’s inside of a mall turn you away. It was a very personable experience and the staff was extremely nice!

They will try to rip you off by seeing you more than one time to collect the money from your insurance, instead of taking care of you the first time. It’s amazing how the medical field works just for the money, and not for your wellness.

Everything was great. We got reminders in text. We didn’t know where the office was and called and the tech guided us to it. Once there we went right in and all the exams went very efficiently. She was easy to talk to and explained everything well.

I went at the very end of the day and Sr. Saakova was very nice but seemed a little rushed. I had something wrong with one of my eyes and she was unable to diagnose the problem (but refused to try anything other than an eye exam and a few colored drops). She also didn't have anything helpful to recommend. It was a waste of my time. I went to a different optometrist and they immediately figured out the problem.... Dr. Saakova was very kind but I wish she had spent a little more time actually trying to figure out what was wrong with my eye, because it could have gotten much worse. Separately, the office staff was extremely friendly!! Some of the best staff I've seen!

I was a new patient and Dr. Saakova was knowledgeable, courteous, timely, personable, thorough, and even spent time to show me pictures of the inside of my eyes! Everything you good ask for in a great optometrist! All of her office staff were amazing as well. They made me feel like a friend that had been seeing them for years. Thank you! I couldn’t have asked for more.

The office staff was incredibly helpful and professional. They explained everything really well and there were no surprises at checkout. They gave me my PD for online shopping which I thought was helpful. The doctor was patient and attentive. I'll definitely return to this office.

I felt welcome and comfortable from the moment I entered the reception area. The young ladies at the front desk were friendly and professional. Dr. Saakova and her assistant performed various tests with the latest in equipment, all of which was clean and easy to use. I was given full explanations of everything being done. Dr. Saakova was delightful to meet and she gave me a careful, thorough eye exam. My trifocal glasses prescription was perfect when I received my new eyeglasses. I’m 69 years old, had cataract surgery in 2014, and wore glasses or contact lenses from the time I was in first grade. I’ve been to a lot of eye doctors, both ophthalmologists and optometrists, and I rank Dr. Saakova and her staff among the very best in my many years of experience.
