Dr. Alan Chu attended Brown University as an undergraduate and graduated magna cum laude in 2004. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2008, and went on to complete his internship and residency training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Chu provides an unparalleled quality of care and is highly regarded by his patients and peers. Dr. Chu specializes in the treatment of disorders of the head and neck region in both adult and pediatric populations. His diverse training allows him to treat all aspects of ear, nose and throat including sinus disease, thyroid and parathyroid disease, head and neck cancer, allergy, voice disorders, sleep apnea, and swallowing disorder. He is a highly skilled and experienced otolaryngologist currently providing state-of-the-art treatment in the day-to-day care of his patients.

Dr Alan didn’t strike me as a very knowledge doctor.
And he try to look for a tumor behind my tonge by hand. When I make movement showing completely discomfort and signs of throwing up he did not let go my tonge. So I have a huge lump under my tonge he say is a small emathoma and it will go away in 2 days . But was more like a big grape lump..
After we finish he explain to a lady what is the results and told her to translate to my mom . Which she did extremely wrong. The lady say that the lump the he provoque was what they found in my MRI and it will go away on his own, that’s why I have a lot of saliva ( which the dr never mention) and of course my mom say to me . How you didn’t notice the lump under your tonge for so long .
She should say that they found a tumor in my MRI under my tonge that they need to study touch, reach to be able to determine the results. And the lump was a course of the test. So horrible explanation and if I didn’t understand him. I will just go home happy... so please pick another Dr.

Overall my appointment with Dr. Chu was fantastic I will definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good doctor he took his time with my daughter who is one years old finding out she has an ear infection. Dr chu answered all my questions that I had for him. Overall I'll give him a five star and if there was more than a five star definitely give it to this doctor also the office staff is very friendly super nice answered all insurance questions before I saw the doctor made me feel like I chose the right Doctor for my child. overall like I said before I will definitely highly recommend Dr. Chu a wonderful doctor and I'll definitely be coming back.

I have been coming to Dr. Chu's office for over two years and I would recommend them to anyone. The staff is very professional and Dr. Chu is a first class doctor. I use to have 5 sinus infections per year for about 4 years. Dr. Chu performed a sinus surgery about a year ago on me and to date I have not had a sinus infection.

Procedure for ear wax removal was uncomfortable - noise and painful. But effective and quick. Staff was efficient and friendly. Usual long wait and pages 6 forms to fill out.
