I had a great experience with Dr. Redding (Alan). He had great bedside manner and really spent time asking me questions and listening to my responses. It’s hard to find doctors who take their time, and Dr. Redding was an exception to that. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Alan Redding grew up in Atlanta and then attended the University of Georgia, where he was a First Honor Graduate. After receiving the degree of Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, with Highest Honors from UGA, he attended the Medical College of Georgia. He then completed a residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and a two-year fellowship in pediatric and adult allergy and immunology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He is a member of both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. From 2007 to 2009, he served on the Board of Directors for the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. In 2011, he began serving on the Board of Directors for the Medical Association of Atlanta.

I waited nearly an hour and a half to see Dr. Redding. Further, he was very transactional and did not show any interest or concern during my patient visit. I left his office without any guidance on what the next steps are and how to resolve the symptoms I am suffering from. He started using a lot of medical jargon and seemed to be trying to run me out the door. Probably amongst the worst doctor visits I have experienced. Maybe he was having a bad day.

Thigh a very nice person, it seemed like all his answers to helping me were to give me a pill rather than understand the root of the issue or behavior modification. I felt quite dismissed by the doctor when I asked about alternative solutions. Basically, it’s a pill or I have to live with it. At this point in my life, I’m looking for professionals who will look at my whole system rather than just treat parts. I’m sure he helps a lot of people, but he’s just not for me.

Very Disappointed.
Dr. Redding was not very personable during my first visit, however, I did allow him a second opportunity to make a better impression. Unfortunately, he did not. Following both visits I left with too many unanswered questions, as well as, feeling rushed, and neglected. My test results were never discussed, even though they were inquired about.

I would definitely recommend visiting Dr. Redding if you have allergies/asthma or even think you might. I mostly had questions about a bunch of things but didn't completely know who to ask, and Dr. Redding was very informative and clear.
