Dr. Ong was very knowledgeable and had great charisma. He answered all of my questions and concerns and made me feel comfortable in his presence. I also appreciate his urgency to come up with a plan to help diagnose me properly by ordering numerous tests to be done immediately instead of waiting around until I'm in pain again. All of his staff were also very kind and helpful. It is hard to find a good doctor, especially one you feel you can trust completely, but Dr. Ong exceeded my expectations and won my trust immediately by showing he cares and by explaining everything in detail that i was unsure about.

Dr Ong was a pleasure to work with.He was knowledgeable yet was able to explain my problem in"layman's terms". Then he explained the current plan and a follow-up plan if this didn't work. I was very pleased with Dr Ong and would highly recommend him if anyone needs a good urologist, especially for unusual cases.

Dr. Ong received his undergraduate degree from the Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles where he was also a Howard Hughes Research Scholar. He completed his urology residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and served as an Assistant Chief of Service at Johns Hopkins Hospital following completion of his residency.
Dr. Ong is board-certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA), the Texas Medical Association as well as the Florida Medical Association. His area of expertise consists of advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, including pelvic reconstructive surgery for severe pelvic prolapse, as well as partial nephrectomy for benign and malignant renal tumors. He currently practices in all areas of urology as well.
While at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Ong did research on advanced laparoscopic techniques and minimally invasive surgery and has had numerous publications which have appeared in the Journal of Urology, Urology, Journal of Endourology, and the Journal of the American College of Surgeons. He has presented at the American Urological Association as well as the World Congress of Endourology. He was awarded second place in the national AUA/ACMI essay contest for basic science in 2003, as well as third place in the national AUA/ACMI essay contest in 2003 for clinical medicine.
