This was my first time visiting this office. Staff was not very friendly. Front desk receptionist were not very welcoming. The medical assistant that took my vitals was just straight to the point no introduction or “hello” she just walked in and started asking me questions. Dr.Vega was very nice and pleasant, knowledgeable. Overall I just wish the office staff was alittle more friendly. It was a Monday morning around 9am so they were probably booked with appointments and still sleepy. Hopefully my next appointment is alittle better.

Provider was great! Office was very unpleasant. My appointment was at 850, the office staff opened the office at 852. The ladies did not greet me nor the rest of the patients. Front desk was rude and not welcoming. I would not recommend the office to anyone looking for quality patient care.

Dr. Vega was born and raised in Houston, TX. She Attended Pomona College in California and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then proceeded to the University of Kansas School of Medicine to complete her doctorate of medicine. She finally returned to her Texas home for residency at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. During residency her research focus was in contraceptive access , and she successfully published and original research project to the Contraception Journal titled "Over-the-Counter Access to Levonorgestrel Emergency Contraception in South Texas: Does Over-the Counter Mean ready to buy?".
She is excited to return to Houston and has a large Honduran and Mexican family welcoming her back. In her free-time she enjoys weekend trips, hiking, and spending time with her partner and cat Dobby.

Dr.Vega was actually covering for Dr.Patolia (for my first appointment) but I had such a positive experience with her that I will be continuing to see her. She was honest/kind which is exactly what I wanted. A doctor who would tell me what they truly see and let me know the full picture.
Val- I believe who took my vitals was incredibly sweet and funny. She put me at ease as I was a nervous wreck. Honestly even the lady that did my blood work was kind. I was really grateful for that experience with the medical staff. My only issue was with the office staff. I had such a negative experience with one of the girls up front( wish I got her name) I had just received some less than great news about my pregnancy and dealing with this girls attitude and negative tone was the last thing I should have been concerned about. She was just so unhelpful and unkind that I couldn’t believe she was in the same office as all the kind people I had previously interacted with. Melissa, however, was great!

I had a consultation with Dr Vega two months ago, and she was a pleasure. However, no one answers the phone the last few times I’ve tried to call, and there is no other way to get in contact with anyone in the office. I don’t understand how they expect to retain clients when they refuse to answer phone calls.

To start, the doctor was wonderful. She was personable and attentive. My issue is with the office management from start to finish. It doesn’t run smoothly. Before my appointment someone called me to confirm and then an hour later someone else called to confirm and had no knowledge of the previous call. Then when I get there, thr parking is a pain, you have to pay for it, and they don’t validate your parking. Then upon arrival, they are asking me for the insurance information that I had already provided them twice before.
I tell the nurse why I’m there and ask them to confirm that the tests I requested would be covered by my insurance. Everyone was clueless and eventually they told me it would be covered. When I’m getting blood drawn, I asked the tech to confirm what I was being tested for. Turns out that the staff failed to asks for the tests I requested and had to get the doctor to add the tests I came for.
Later, I get a bill saying the tests weren’t covered by my insurance despite me asking them to confirm in advance. They then harass me for payment and never get back to my ask to why they told me it was covered when it wasn’t. The staff was just unorganized and all over the place. Constant spelling mistakes in my papers as well. It’s unfortunate because the doctor was great but the office management left much to be desired.

I really like the doctor! She was friendly, sarcastic & had good energy. But the staff in the office was not friendly at all. After going into the room, I waited for the doctor for about 15 minutes. And there was about 5-6 open urine samples exposed in both of the restrooms that had been sitting there waiting to be picked up by the staff.

Doctor Vega was great. However, my appointment was 1.5hrs late and so my appointment seemed rushed. Dr. Vega was kind and apologized for the wait. Hopefully next time the wait won’t be so long. I suggest booking the first available appointment in the morning to avoid waiting so long.
