Dr. Alex Christensen received his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University – Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, Arizona.
During his clinical external rotations, he received training in primary care, pediatric, and post-operative examinations as well as ocular prosthetic, specialty contact lens, and electrodiagnostic evaluations.
Dr. Christensen then completed a residency for further specialization in ocular disease and pathology at the Doris Miller Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Waco, Texas. There he managed complex cases involving diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye, diplopia, uveitis, retinal detachments, and ocular trauma.
Outside of work, Dr. Christensen loves spending time with his family.
