Dr. Perkelvald is a very nice and soft spoken physician. He seemed caring and thorough. I have a thyroid condition and he explained to me the various and latest options for treatment. He listened to my concerns, which honestly very few doctors do these days. I also like that he's affiliated with a prestigious hospital like Columbia in Manhattan. Overall, very impressed with doctor and office.

Dr. Perkelvald was incredibly kind and gentle during my appointments. I went in to have a FNA of a large nodule on my thyroid. I am scared of needles, but he made the whole process very calming and tolerable. Unfortunately the results that came back were not what we were hoping for, but his office recommended some great surgeons to remove my thyroid, and the surgery itself went very smoothly. I'm planning to return to see Dr. Perkevald to continue my treatment and recommend him to anyone who may be looking for a knowledgeable, thorough endocrinologist to deal with thyroid issues.

Dr. Perkelvald was wonderful. He took the time to listen and address all of my questions and asked me questions in return, which shows that he cared. He's also super attentive to detail. His staff were also very friendly and helpful as well. Just a quick note, aside from the times noted here on ZocDoc they seem to have plenty of openings. If you don't see a time slot that works for you, call the office and ask for their availability.

Dr. Perkelvald is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He is soft spoken and takes his time to explain things. He did a thyroid biopsy on me and was gentle and professional. The results were thankfully good, and now I just have to monitor. I would highly recommend this doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Perkelvald for years. He's amazing! Really knows his stuff. Very courteous. Best endocrinologist I have ever been to, and I have been to many others in the past. I sometimes have to wait a while in the waiting room, but he more than makes up for it as he spends time with me as well.
