Dr. Alexandra M. Molinares was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. She graduated with an Academic Excellence Award from Medical School in 2002 from Universidad del Norte, being recognized as a distinguished student. She accomplished six months of her internship in Colombia, and six months in the United States. She has worked as a medical assistant and researcher lab assistant in USF working with stem cell transplantation for possible cure of patients with San Filippo Syndrome. Thereafter, she completed her Family Medicine Residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. Dr. Molinares is a qualified Board Certified Physician specializing in Family Medicine. She is a member of the AAFP, AMA, SCHMR and USCMA. She also has been involved in multiple scholarly activities including participating as a presenter in National Medical Conferences such as NMA and STFM. Thereafter, Dr. Molinares has continued her passion for improving patient care quality by utilizing her extensive background in health care.
Dr. Molinares enjoys specializing in Family Medicine because of the age spectrum it incorporates. Being family oriented, she enjoys getting to know entire families and always greets them with a smile. She believes practicing medicine is a privilege and a calling. She takes her work very seriously and strives to be thorough in caring for each and every patient. She has a strong interest in dermatological disorders and skin care.

Dr Molinares charges for services that were not requested. If she identifies a mark o issue in your annual physical, she will charge as extra consultation what it is supposed to be part of the physical in order to get more from insurance. But, you ended up paying what the insurance does not covered. I received my bill 8 months after the office visit. Some of the charges was billed as separate problem when it was supposed to be part of the annual physical.
She tries to sell you products as part of patient medication plan to solve any health problem which makes you doubt of ther diagnostic.

Dr. Molinares is one of the most compassionate and caring doctors that I have ever had. Her expertise, healthcare suggestions, alternative medicine ideas and bedside manner are all terrific. I was looking for a new primary care physician and found Dr. Molinares on my insurance providers website. After my first visit (for an annual physical) I can honestly say that Dr. Molinares spent more time with me than any of my previous doctors had. She asked relevant questions and expressed genuine concern. These attributes are unfortunately disappearing in modern healthcare.
Overall, I am very happy with how my first visit went. Also, being able to book an appointment online is a fantastic plus.

I will be switching my PCP came in for one problem which was thoroughly addressed and the friendly efficient staff asked probing questions and tending to other concerns I had that my previous PCP which was just out on leave had not identified in the three years of being a patient

I needed a new family doctor. I found Dr. Molinares on ZocDoc. I have a very hectic schedule at the moment and the office hours work well with my needs. Both the nurse and Dr. Molinares were very thorough, more so than my previous Doctor. Dr. Molinares let me talk about all my concerns and then she explained the process we would take to address them. I was unaware of how many medical services Dr. Molinares' practice offers when I made my appointment. I find services to be very convenient. I am very thankful I found her! I will gladly refer Dr. Molinares to my family and friends.
