Not a fan of the office decor. Decor was not like a Doctor's office, more like a new age wellness spa, not a fan.

Alexandria Herbek, PA-C comes from a military family but now calls Virginia home. She graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Chemistry. She earned her Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University in Loudoun, where she was recognized for her outstanding clinical performance. She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Alexandria practiced in urgent care for several years, gaining strong clinical and procedural experience before transitioning to dermatology.
Alexandria collaborates closely with Dr. Khan to provide the best patient care possible. She is passionate about delivering excellent patient-centered skin care to all ages. Understanding that caring for skin is more than “skin deep,” she focuses primarily on medical dermatology to help patients achieve optimal health. She is well-versed in how skin disease impacts overall health and treats each patient as if they were part of her own family. Working within a team-based approach, Alexandria is driven to make a positive impact on each patient and help them achieve their goals. She especially enjoys performing skin cancer screenings and treating acne, psoriasis, eczema, and other inflammatory skin disorders.
Outside of The Skinstitute, Alexandria enjoys spending time with her husband and their children. She is also committed to serving her community through a local food pantry.

Dr. Herbek was great. She listened to all of my concerns and ordered testing prior to diagnosis. She has actively been working to improve not just symptoms, but finding the root cause. Alex was fabulous! She is friendly, affirming, knowledgeable and a clear communicator. She listened to my story & diagnosed my problem quickly. Then froze it off and we were done quickly.
Everyone in the office was warm and friendly despite the spa-like atmosphere which initially made me think I would be treated impersonally.
I have already made another appointment for a skin cancer screening - which I have been avoiding for years.
As noted by other reviewers, this is a Dermatology office and as such they deal with only one issue per appointment. ????

I was told my appointment would only be 15 mins, so I was worried I would be rushed through without all my concerns being addressed. Thankfully, PA Herbek was very thorough, friendly, and did not rush me.
However, they will not to address multiple topics in one visit, so if you want a pre-cancer screening and a skincare review that would have to be done in two separate appointments. Not the most convenient, but doable.
