Alexis Gonzalez, PA-C, grew up in a small town in South Carolina. She graduated from the College of Charleston (CofC) in Charleston, SC, with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she gained medical experience working on a Cardiothoracic Surgery step-down unit. Following graduation, her passion for medicine continued to grow as she worked in a family medicine practice. Alexis then attended the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS). She maintains certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed by the Georgia Medical Board. Outside of work, Alexis enjoys outdoor activities and gardening. She also has a passion for medical mission trips and has traveled to Cuzco, Peru, and Togo, West Africa, providing medical care to those without access.
