About Dr. Ali Shah
Dr. Shah graduated from the Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago Escuela de Medicina, Santo Domingo Campus, in 1990. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, New York, in 1995. For the next seven years, he worked at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital as chief resident, attending physician, and medical director. Dr. Shah has excellent bedside manner, an in-depth knowledge of medicine, and a mindset focused on learning and teaching medicine. He taught medical students and residents and held the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
He moved to Colorado in February 2012. He sees patients in his office and admits and manages sick patients at Aurora hospital. He loves gardening and is an expert in growing fruit trees and grapevines. He also enjoys traveling and playing table tennis. Dr. Shah does not see anyone under the age of 16.

Dr. Shah was a second opinion on a very unusual issue associated with sudden high blood pressure. My previous provider took a “let’s just treat it and see what happens approach.” Dr. Shah on the other hand gathered data and looked at possible causes. He altered the treatment approach and my BP responded well to this course of action. Dr. Shah will now be my new primary care physician.

I went for one visit and didn’t go back. I felt like Dr. Shah was talking at me instead of to me. I basically got lectured, and he immediately started talking about my weight.

He didn't really listen to me and I felt very judged for how I had tried to relieve the pain in my neck (aspirin). He prescribed some pain meds and left. I guess they're running some tests with my urine and blood. They left me in the room after they were done, but I still thought they were going to do something to give me some relief, but I left still in a lot of pain.

Nice office, lovely and helpful staff who were very welcoming I went in with two problems, Dr. Shah only focused on one then asked me to meet him out front. He never showed his face again. His staff helped me find referrals for my issues. He just wanted me out the door.
