More about Alice Melinda Poland, NP, RN
Melinda Poland RNC, MSN, NP joined Colorado Springs Gynecology Associates in July of 2010. She assists on all of the surgeries Dr. Bianco performs, along with the majority of the hormone replacement therapy in the office. She is one of the only practitioners in the state that is actively prescribing bio-identical hormones and even has patients that come from out of the state to have her hand-craft a hormone solution tailored to their specific needs. She has been a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner since 1996, and prior to her Master’s Degree as a nurse practitioner, she was a registered nurse specializing in obstetrics. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Science from Colorado University Health Sciences Center in Denver. Previously to joining Colorado Springs Gynecology Associates, she practiced at a large OB/GYN private practice in Fort Collins Colorado for over 10 years. During that time, and in addition to her regular appointments, she taught classes in the community, focusing on menopause and adolescent gynecology. Melinda has special interests in infertility, adolescent gynecology, endocrinology, and bio-identical menopause treatment. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing since 1993. Outside interests include spending time with her two grown children, tennis, fly fishing, traveling, and gardening.
