Our practice works with both your medical and vision insurance. As Zocdoc only allows you to add one insurance, we kindly ask that you give information on your secondary insurance when you are contacted to confirm your appointment.
Dr. Jones is passionate about providing full-scope, patient-centric primary eye care. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. Dr. Jones completed her undergraduate studies in Pre-Optometry at MCPHS University in Boston, MA and went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at SUNY College of Optometry in New York, NY.
After finishing her studies, Dr. Jones joined an OD/MD group practice in Brooklyn and worked alongside retina and glaucoma specialists, in addition to providing medical eye exams. She also provided ophthalmology consults to emergency medicine physicians at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.
At Sound Vision Care, Dr. Jones continues to concentrate on managing ocular disease while also providing comprehensive eye care. She fits soft spherical, toric, and multifocal contact lenses and she is now expanding her clinical care into specialty contact lenses, including RGP and scleral lenses. Dr. Jones is also certified in fitting the FDA-approved Paragon CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy) lenses.
When you schedule an appointment with Sound Vision Care, we set aside enough time to provide you with the highest quality of care. Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible. You will need to give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or re-schedule. Failure to do so will result in a $25 no-show fee

She saw me when my eyes were red and highly irritated by light and prescribed me the eyedrops I needed to help heal my eye. Her staff are also super friendly and professional.

I felt the professionalism upon arriving. I had to do an intake as I was a new patient and upon completion, was see by Dr. Jones quickly. I felt the exam was extremely thorough. Dr. Jones listened to all of my issues and took them in to consideration during the tests and in explanations after the exam. Dr. Jones referred me to an Opthamologist to see if I need a procedure before we move to final conclusion on my eyecare which I very much appreciated.

Dr. Joness very attentive to her patients. My only qualm—as someone studying microbiology—is the lack of sterile practice involved in her examinations. Her lack of use of gloves to examine/touch my eyes was slightly off putting. Regardless, she provided me with the information I needed.

Overall an ok experience. Had to wait about an hour which was disappointing and had a lot of issues with getting my prescription. Doctor forgot to send in instructions with one of the prescriptions so never got it. Called multiple times and it was just never done.
Never received a call from office even to check if it finally went through.
Doctor is very nice and seems good, however it he wait was disappointing for being one of the first appointments and never getting my prescription seemed disorganized.

I have to say it was the best eye exam that I ever had. I had a serious eye injury and Dr. Jones answered all my questions and I felt that she genuinely cared. She was actually a 2nd doctor that I saw for my injury. The first doctor that I went to rushed along the exam and made me feel like I was on an assembly line. Never again will I subject my eyes to a quack like him. He didn't even advise me to use the medication that he prescribed correctly. Which is why I came to Dr. Jones. It must have been divine intervention which is why she will be my optometrist. Thanks Dr. Jones. The staff in her office are wonderful too. Very professional and friendly.

Dr. Alicia Jones was the consummate professional. All the test that were done were all essential and the outcomes of those tests were disclosed at the time of my visit. I was amazed on how much time she spent with me making sure the accuracy of the eye exam was on point and answered any questions or concerns I had. I never felt like it was rushed and she was very thorough and had a great bedside manner.
