Raised in Miami, Alison “Ali” Crane MSN, APRN, FNP-BC earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Family Nursing from the beautiful University of Miami.
She began her career in Women’s Health in Portland, Oregon working as an RN in Antepartum, Postpartum and Emergency Care. After meeting her now husband, in 2005 she moved to Seattle where she worked in Labor and Delivery in both high and low risk settings, satisfying her love for supporting women and their families through the birthing process. In 2013 she and her growing family returned to Miami. Ali has also worked in out-of-hospital birthing centers, is waterbirth certified and has taken extensive training in car seat safety.
What Ali loves most about caring for her patients is educating them about their health and wellness and takes time with every patient to individualize their care. She loves working alongside her patients to resolve their ailments and guide them onto the track of wellness. With a passion for holistic health and nutrition, Ali loves teaching her patients about how to take charge of their health and ultimately improve their lives. As a young breast cancer survivor, she has witnessed that many cures do not come in the form of a pill and truly believes in the mind-body connection. She loves practicing, learning and teaching about yoga, meditation and plant-based lifestyles. Ali loves being a nurse practitioner because it allows her to build long-term relationships with her patients and she enjoys watching them and their families grow and thrive.
Ali is a self-admitted podcast junkie and enjoys spending her free time with her immediate and large extended family and friends. She loves to cook, bake, create art of all types, do yoga, garden, meditate and travel. She lives with her husband, two kids and adorable dog on their suburban, hobbyist banana farm.
