Born and raised in South Carolina, Rennie earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College in 1992, and then multiple degrees from the University of South Carolina: a Bachelor's in 1995, a Master's in Family Health Nursing in 1998, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2013. Since 2014, she has taught in both the Master's and Doctoral programs at South University.
Rennie worked at Barnwell Pediatrics for 16 years before relocating to Georgia in 2014, and she taught nursing at the University of South Carolina prior to completing her DNP. She believes in lifelong learning and treats every patient as she would want her loved ones to be treated, using evidence-based practice guidelines.
Happily married with seven children and soon-to-be nine grandchildren, Rennie enjoys traveling, planning trips for others, crafting, painting, reading, and hunting. A dedicated Gamecock football fan, she remains faithful to her alma mater. She has a particular interest in women's health, diabetes education, and weight-loss management, finding great reward in seeing patients transform into healthier versions of themselves.
