More about Dr. Allan Wachter, MD
Dr. Wachter has practiced in Arizona for over 25 years. He is Board Certified in Allergy & Immunology a Conjoint Board of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and re-certified in 2001 and 2011. He has been named a “Phoenix Top Doctor” multiple times. Dr. Wachter is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a member of multiple medical societies such as: The Greater Phoenix Allergy Society, Arizona Allergy Society and the Maricopa County Medical Society.
Dr. Allan Wachter was born in New York City and attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan. He also did his Internal Medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. He attended the University of Pennsylvania for his Allergy & Immunology training. He received multiple awards during his Fellowship for his research in molecular biology.
Dr. Wachter has been very active in community service projects, teaching medical students and was most recently the Chairman of both the Maricopa County Asthma and Arizona State Asthma Coalitions. Dr. Wachter has continued his interest in clinical research by currently working with the Veterans Hospital and DoD doing asthma health outcomes research. He and his colleagues have published their asthma research findings in peer-reviewed Journals.
Dr. Wachter and his wife, Susan, are blessed with four daughters and he admits he can’t keep up with them. In his spare time, he likes to play piano, read and play with their new family puppy. It would be our privilege to be able to help you with your allergy and other health needs.

Because of the Covid19, we did a telemed consultation. There was no wait time, he conducted the consultation as if I was there. Very easy to talk to, listened and answered my questions. Once they received my medical records from my previous Dr, we will start on a new protocol. His office staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Interactions with professionals were great, however the wait time was incredibly long and I ended up being late for work which started two hours after my appointment start time. I even came early for my appointment and was still waiting in the office for almost an hour, then waited another thirty for the doctor to come in once in the room. When scheduling a visit, plan on being there for 2+ hours.

Dr. Wachter is a thorough and very informative physician. He kindly and patiently explained my asthma to me, educating me on how to take care of my symptoms on a daily basis. He also took into consideration my active lifestyle and helped me find ways to ensure my safety while still being active! Dr. Wachter will be absolutely be my full time asthma/allergy doctor from now on. I feel very fortunate to have found such a knowledgeable and kind doctor!

This was my first visit at Dr. Wachter's office and it was a very pleasant experience. The office staff was friendly and welcoming. I was escorted to a patient room quickly and was seen by Dr. Wachter shortly thereafter. Dr. Wachter was very thorough, professional, and respectful. He took the time to explain to me in great detail what procedures and treatments he would recommend and why. I felt that my concerns and questions were appropriately addressed and fully trust his knowledge in the field and professional recommendation. He is quite possibly the best physician I have ever interacted with and I would wholeheartedly recommend him.
