Allen L. Dennis is a Board Certified Pain Management and Anesthesiology physician residing in Austin, Texas. Dr. Dennis graduated from The School of Medicine at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX in June 2005. He received his graduate degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX and his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, TX in 1999.
Before joining Advanced Pain Care, Dr. Dennis most recently worked in pain management at the Center for Spine Care in Dallas, TX. While working in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, Dr. Dennis received the Patient’s Choice Award as well as the Five Star Service Award from Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine. Dr. Dennis is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, among other medical professional associations. He specializes in comprehensive pain management including chronic headaches, spinal pain, neuropathy, and cancer pain. His goal is to provide his patients with the maximum quality of life possible.
Dr. Allen Dennis is a proud Texan who loves being in Central Texas. He is married with three children, and his daughter and two sons are actively involved in band. In his free time, Allen enjoys kayaking, boating, and enjoying wildlife.

Dr. Dennis is a pain doctor. All he wanted to do was shoot me with steroids. My husband had that procedure 6 times with no relief. I am in serious pain due to a botched hip operation that cannot be corrected. I have a very expensive vacation overseas pending with walking planned each day. All I wanted was some pharmaceutical relief for one month. Thanks for nothing!

Great staff, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I feel like they treat us patients as if we were local TikTok celebrities lol.
The only complaints worth mentioning are the wait times are practically eternal, over an hour on average in my experiences.
That said, my health issues are always addressed and taken care of, so I’ll keep going back.

The doctor was not too too clear about course of action to treat my 6yrs chronic severe Nerve pain. Booking surgery Nurse explain. If you r looking for a resolution he is great but u will suffer 2 more weeks until u r schedule for Nerve Block procedure. In the mean time I was told u made it this long(6yrs) a little longer we help u. Pain so bad affecting my work, home and quality of life. I think he could of given me a very low dose RX for pain, He was in- sensitive to tell me to suffer a little longer.

I don't feel that, either, my condition is being taken seriously, or that my complaints are being minimized. I was as plain, polite, aporeciative and honest as possible. Clinically, I don't feel my immediate needs will be met. I accepted the treatment plan and will try to endure long enough to try it. My current situation is difficult, especially v with the crisis we're facing. If I can't find relief, I'll have to find a way to either ask for alternatives or ask for a change. I know we're all in a difficult place and tough decisions have to be made. I find Dr. Dennis to be a compassionate physician that perhaps has constraints to providing specific solutions. I don't blame him. I do however feel that my condition is not improving.

Very professional doctor. He also took into consideration what my insurance would cover since I don’t have the best insurance available through my work place. He took the time to ask me questions and listened closely to my answers. Which was very refreshing. The only thing I did not like was the long check out process considering there is only one check out counter. It took almost 25 minutes to check out. And the lady checking out patients was a little rude.
