I've seen a variety of specialists over several years; however, Dr. Dorsett's knowledge, professionalism and deportment are unrivaled. Dr. Dorsett is a board certified Pain Medicine specialist and board certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist. He was raised in Houston, Texas, where he was very active in the sporting community. He then carried this passion to college where he played baseball, graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Biology. He then attended medical school at the University of North Texas. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation- a specialty that encompasses the diagnosis, recovery and management of neurological and musculoskeletal injuries at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He finalized his training by completing a fellowship in pain management from Georgia Pain Physicians in Marietta, Georgia. He is very pleased to call Houston home once more and has been practicing in the Houston area for more than 6 years.

This guy was a TOTAL JERK. I don't know about his other patients but he treated me like I was just in there to get pills and actually offended me to no end. What his plan was would make me into a zombie so NO - I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM. He talked very very fast, hardly looking up to look me in the eyes. Assumed I was on Medicare and then changing his tune a little when he found out I actually had good insurance. He told me I was getting defensive and has no training in one of my diseases. I see a very reputable Rhuematologist and he had to call her to see if he could write me a script for 1 month as a favor to her and he didn't even write it for the entire month. She was livid b/c that screwed up my entire prescription that I've been on for 9 years. Told me I was addicted to pain meds and that I should go another route. I HAVE ONLY 1 WORD TO DESCRIBE HIM AND I CAN'T PUT IT ON HERE. The office staff was very polite at the window but the 2 girls who took my information was like giving my information to 2 little girls who were in high school. I felt very very uncomfortable and being in my mid 50's - was treated with no respect what-so-ever. The office was dirty and everyone in the waiting room looked like Zombies - so out of it so now I know why he would want to prescribe his "way" of dealing with pain. There are alot of good pain management drs out there but this one ISN'T IT - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!
