Patient reviews for Dr. Allen Greenlee
Dr. Greenlee is the best! He is always very thorough and cares a lot about his patients and our health. The other doctors in his practice group are great as well.
I’m always nervous at a doctors office and my blood pressure goes up. My consultation with the doctor was great, he made me feel more relaxed and gave me some good information. I needed to get back on track with my health, will definitely continue having doctor Greenlee as my physician.
Dr. Greenlee listened to my concerns and addressed them.
Great doctor, very clear and thoughtful. Works in training gwu students on site.
Excellent and efficient treatment
My visit with Dr. Greenlee's office was very pleasant. I was seen right away and his mannerism made it comfortable for me to talk with him. The office staff and the environment was also pleasant.
Dr. Greenlee had great bedside manner and I am excited to have a competent PCP near my office.
Dr. Greenlee is awesome! Love working with him!
Doctor fine. Office staff unprofessional - not to me personally, but rude to customers on the phone trying to make appointments, and then making snarky comments to each other about those customers, when everyone in the waiting room can hear them.
Good, no-nonsense doctor. I mean that as the highest praise!
Great first visit with Dr. Greenlee. I was seen by the doctor at my appointment time with no waiting. Dr. Greenlee was professional and made me feel comfortable during the appointment.
Quick, efficient, but friendly and not trying to just get you out the door. Would have been nice to have more face time with Dr. Greenlee, I only had him for about 7 minutes (but I am assuming they were probably busy). The new doctor/Intern that spent most of the time with me was very nice and helpful.
Dr. Greenlee was standoffish and cold, and appeared bored and unimpressed by the systems I was presenting. He prescribed a 10 day course of prednisone and had me tested for Lymes disease, and told me to call him in a week if the steroids had no effect on my symptoms. I called and got no answer or return call and finished my course. I received no notification that my lab results had been received or what the outcome was. I emailed the doctor through the patient portal, and he responded back simply by saying "the test was negative". I responded and asked him what the next steps would be. His secretary called me back the FOLLOWING day and told me that the doctor was referring me to a neurologist. She provided no information, simply telling me to call GW neurology and book an appointment and they could find my records through the patient portal. The fact that I had to ask for this news was unacceptable, the fact that it took more than a day to get in touch is also unacceptable, and the doctor's blatant disregard for patient care is even further unacceptable.
Short and sweet, like tailored health care, just the facts ma'am but if they don't draw blood right away, go find them and make em do it. Also doesn't mind if you see a specialist if you feel you need one.
Excellent and professional.
Great bedside manners and took the full appointment time to answer questions I had.
Thorough exam from a very nice and thoughtful doctor and staff
he seems interested concerned willing to check anything, liked that
Very polite and friendly office staff, a very brief wait time, and great bedside manner from everyone who saw me (nurses, med student, Dr. Greenlee). This was my first visit to the office but I'm glad I found it and will definitely be back!
Dr. Greenlee saw me as soon as I came in for my appointment. He listened to all my concerns and completed my physical quickly without any nonsense. I would recommend him if you're looking for a fast, efficient, and dependable doctor in the area.
Dr. Greenlee was great!!!
It was great.
Overall, very good. The floors in the examination rooms could be cleaned up a little but beyond that, no major complaints.
Doctor Greenlee was very nice and professional. Saw me on schedule, which is rare these days. The nurses and office staff aren't very friendly or helpful though.
The front desk is on and off in terms of friendliness and helpfulness. It is 50-50 chance they will be pleasant versus indifferent, and I have called a few times in preparation for the appointment. I experienced the same when I arrived at the office. Dr. Greenlee was really great. He listened and was attentive. He did not rush through my questions, but was quick to leave once we were all wrapped up. This was my first visit, so hope all visits will continue this way.
Just a short visit to get a prescription. But he asked me several questions about me. I enjoyed the visit.
The facilities are nice as is the staff. Dr. Greenlee was working with a resident the day of my appointment, so he is the person I spoke with the most. He had a great bedside manner and was very thorough. The way in which they ask questions is "all inclusive" (as in asking questions about partner (as opposed to assuming) or monogamy levels (allowing one to indicate multiple partners, swinging etc..)). And while I fill more "traditional" boxes, I appreciate that they allow patients to speak openly in order to receive the best healthcare. My visit with Dr. Greenlee was brief, but he was nice.
Dr Greenlee is always pleasant, smiles, asks great questions and does not rush through the visit. He works in a teaching hospital and his med student was terrific.
The doctor conducted the exam well. Likely due to my being 20 minutes late, wasn't able to recap or plan next steps thoroughly.
Goid listener. Provided iptions for discussion. Recommend.
Dr Greenlee was great. The staff was prompt and professional. He has a great bedside manner and was thorough while listening. Not sure what more you could want from a primary care doctor.
Dr. Greenlee and his staff were very nice, saw me right away (even early), and were extremely helpful. I am glad to have found my new PCP!
Professional and to the point.
I thought the office reception was very welcoming and attentive as soon as I walked through the door. Dr. Greenlee was very and asked what I thought were important questions related to my health. Overall, I got the sense that he was there to offer me support in making healthy lifestyle choices more so than to criticize my perhaps less-than-healthy habits.
Very pleasant. Staff was friendly, Dr Greenlee was friendly and helpful. They actually took me in early!
Harsh on patients who have mental illness.
Very professional; staff was very efficient as well. I don't think I waited for more then 5 minutes from the waiting room to the actual doctor's office....Highly recommend Dr. Greenlee
I chose Doc Allen Greenlee as my primary care and will for sure recommend. He spent time understanding all my needs being kind and gentle.
This was my first visit and I was quite pleased. I was brought in on-time and was thoroughly interviewed by a 3rd year student (which I didn't mind). The Doctor saw me after being updated by the student and proceeded to perform a physical - which I hadn't expected, but appreciated. I'm now going to have my files from my old Doctor sent on to Dr. Greenlee and expect that he will now be my official primary care physician. Very pleased!
Very thorough and personable doctor.
Dr. Greenlee is extremely professional and ensures the patient receives the best solution.
Very efficient and professional, didn't accede to all requests but that's fine. Was helpful ruling out concerns that really shouldn't be and focusing on things that could be done short of medication. Found with front desk staff, let them hear the smile in your voice. Very pleased, happy to return, lower copay than I was used to.
Dr. Greenlee was great as usual. I definitely would recommend him!!
My wait time was very short, and the doctor stayed on schedule. He spent a good amount of time with me, and listened to my concerns. His staff was pleasant if speedy, and the woman drawing blood was especially skilled - I didn't feel the needle go in. The office isn't brand new - it shows its age in the marks on the floor and some cracks on the bench patients are examined on, but overall I will be going back to this doctor for his gentle, thorough manner, and proximity to my office.
Dr. Greenlee himself is a wonderful physician. He is efficient and provided me with excellent treatment. I give him 5 stars. Unfortunately, Dr. Greenlee does not work alone. After my routine physical, Dr. Greenlee ordered some blood work done. But when the results came back, I discovered that only some of the tests he ordered had actually been performed. As a result, I had to come back in to complete the testing -- a total waste of my time, blood, and money. Unacceptable all around.
The type of doctor who is just waiting for you to leave
The appointment went fine. Dr. Greenlee was very cordial and polite.
Dr. Greenlee has been excellent. Very patient, thoughtful about his diagnosis, and thorough in his diagnosis. He is also very good about explaining the whats and whys about how he reached his conclusions, and such a methodological approach is very reassuring when it comes to your well-being.
