Allison believes that nutrition counseling is an individualized process. She knows that each and every client that walks into her office is unique and have different needs and goals. As a result, Allison takes a great deal of time and care to ensure they each receive the support, guidance, and expertise they deserve. There is much more than solely diet analysis and modification in Allison's counseling sessions. As a team, she works with each client to help identify certain behaviors in order for them to feel empowered to create new, healthier habits that will improve their overall wellness and achieve their goals.
Allison's fresh perspective on nutrition allows her to educate her clients on current nutrition and fitness research in order to develop innovative, personalized programs. She provides a warm, relaxed, and encouraging atmosphere to give her clients a safe place to learn, grow and succeed.
Allison provides nutrition counseling to adults, adolescents, and children within her expertise of weight management and weight loss, sports nutrition, medical weight loss, and bariatric nutrition. In addition, Allison also counsels on GI disorders, diabetes management, eating disorders, and general wellness.
Allison obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Skidmore College and a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from Columbia University, where she also completed her training as a registered dietitian. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the New Jersey Dietetic Association, the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group, and the Medical Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group.
