Although, a generalized approach to psychotherapy was taught in my third year, I felt my clients were only marginally improving at best using this modality. Fortunately in my fourth year, I had the opportunity to train in Cognitive Behavior Therapy under the supervision of Alan Budney Ph.D. Utilizing a structured approach to anxiety, my clients level of tranquility was restored and their level of interpersonal, academic, and professional function and satisfaction was significantly increased. After residency, I worked as the psychiatrist to the students at UVM and enjoyed my time there, but was ready to return to Maryland. I have worked at several outpatient offices in the area in Eldersburg, Owings Mills, and Columbia but was forced into an assembly line med management way of treating clients which I believe to be less than ideal. As a consequence, I have opened two offices, one in Columbia and one in Baltimore to facilitate a more collaborative and clinically sound approach to mental health. I have been practicing at the Columbia office for several years and the results have been great!

Dr. Rawat was very compassionate and made me feel very comfortable. He suggested more than one option to get me back on the mend. I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Rawat is excellent. He is very professional and very straight to the point. He is very ethical and won't keep you forever in treatment if you don't need it. On the contrary, he helps you to find solutions.
He saw me quickly, offered some good options. I'm feeling confident about going back.
Was able to see me right away! Very rare. He was very knowledgable, caring and thorough. Highly recommend!
Dr. Rawat was great! Straight forward and to the point. Listened to my concerns well and had great advice and suggestions.
Dr. Rawat was great! I really felt like he listened and was attentive to my needs. I was really happy to get an appointment within a week. So glad I finally found the right psychiatrist!
He's great until he starts assuming things. Then, he's a crackpot who seriously hurts his patients.
Enjoyed my appointment this Dr. appeared very knowledgeable, caring, and thorough looking forward to my next appointment
Great doctor. I've never met a doctor that actually cares about his patients.
He answered his phone several times during my session and acted strangely. Not a proper office space. I will not be returning.
I think he is amazing Dr.!
Very Professional, Knows His Stuff (Psych-wise), Prescribed Logical and Practical and Meaningful Medications for the Pertaining Situation
He was very thorough and seemed really caring and knowledgable. I definitely plan to continue seeing him and would recommend him
How refreshing to visit a doctor that truly seemed to work towards a diagnosis by asking me appropriate questions. I felt he actually LISTENED to me, which will lead to an accurate diagnosis and treatment. He seems knowledgeable about medications and their effect on the body which is very important to me. The stuffiness and arrogance of some doctors makes me nervous, but he immediately put me at ease to talk because he seemed intelligent but approachable.
Friendly an informative.
