Dr. Amal Sharifi is board-certified in adult psychiatry. He comes from an academic background having worked in a teaching hospital for the past several years educating America's future physicians as well as providing compassionate care to his patients. Dr. Sharifi received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, AZ. He completed his psychiatry residency at the Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, which is affiliated with the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. After completing residency, he spent the next several years working in academic medicine, providing both inpatient and outpatient care, working on scholarly projects, as well as educating America's future physicians. He went on to become the Clerkship Director for medical students and an Associate Residency Program Director.
Dr. Sharifi is board-certified in general adult psychiatry. While having treated a wide variety of patients, his primary clinical focus has been treating adults with depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and insomnia.
