Dr. Amanda Jimenez-Lawson is a native Texan who was born in San Antonio. She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where she earned her bachelors degree in Biology and minor in Spanish. Dr. Jimenez-Lawson is bilingual and speaks conversational and medical Spanish. She first learned Spanish when attending high school in Caracas, Venezuela. Dr. Jimenez-Lawson then attended medical school at la Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. Following completion of medical school she performed her Pre-Internship at New York Medical College. She then went on to perform residency at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Dr. Jimenez-Lawson is board certified in Internal Medicine.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking, and traveling.

I am very impressed with the doctor because I had problems with my foot and previously I was treated by an orthopedist and a foot specialist and they did not tell me about the problem, they gave me some injections but the problem returned and I had to go to the Dr Amanda in the first consultation She explained what the problem was and he answered all my questions, thanks Dr.

Ms Gina and Mr Bobby were both absolutely amazing and friendly. Unfortunately the same could not be said about Dr. Jimenez Lawson. I did not feel as though she was actually listening to my symptoms at all. She seemed to be dead set on blaming my weight for my issues and was pushing symptoms on me that I was not experiencing. She was also extremely aggressive about mask usage even though there were absolutely no signs and no staff asked us to wear masks otherwise we would. I left my appointment crying, and will absolutely not be seeing this doctor again.

I had a tele-visit with Dr. Jimenez-Lawson that was underwhelming before going in for my annual physical. Then again, who is excited about going to the doctor? Particularly because prior to this visit the turnover in my doctor's office had been very high and I was sick and tired of re-telling my story to 3 different doctors in a year and a half.
I wan't terribly excited about going in to meet in person. Physicals aren't super fun. I was very pleasantly surprised meeting Dr. Jimenez-Lawson at her office. While I did wait a little while (~20 minutes which I hear is good for a doctor's office) the appointment itself was quite pleasant. Dr. Jimenez-Lawson had clearly familiarized herself with my chart and history ahead of time (which was nice). I had completed paperwork ahead of time and I am a longer term patient at this office but the past two doctors hadn't done that "homework" and she certainly did.
Once the actual appointment began she was crisp, yet thorough, and made me feel comfortable during the visit.
She called in my prescriptions the same day and the referral that I received for a specialist the next day.
I would recommend Dr. Jimenez-Lawson highly.

I booked the appt thru zocdoc but didn’t know I was booking a VIRTUAL visit! Yikes! When I realized, I called the office and changed to face to face…I’m no technology expert but maybe this process could be a little clearer?! How did I miss that?! :)

The staff there was very helpful. The wait wasn’t that long. Maybe 30 mins but that is with the first time visit paperwork. Also I found the doctor to and the staff to be really professional and asked really good questions. And was a very good communicator. So I think I found myself a pcp.

Dr. Jimenez is very thorough! She was very detailed and took time to really listen to me and get a full picture of what’s going on. It was my first time seeing her and I really liked her and will be coming back to see her. I really trust her and believe she is a very good dr based on my visit.

Dr.Jimenez is very nice but if you are looking for a doctor to resolve your problems I would keep looking and not go here. I came here for shoulder pain and left with shoulder pain. She refers you to people she is unfamiliar with and doesn’t send your prescription to your pharmacy. Her secretary also referred me to their urgent care since she claimed they wouldn’t charge me a new patient fee but they did! I had to go up to the clinic once I felt better to dispute the charge. Clinic manager seems more concerned about funds than client help and treatment. Not a place I would recommend to a friend or family member. Do yourself a favor and pick another doctor.

Absolutely enjoyed my visit with dr. Amanda Jimenez - Lawson! The staff was very friendly, her medical assistant Shay was very pleasant. Dr. Jimenez was Terry, listen, ask questions and had answers before I could ask lol and even though I was there for a annual physical she saw concerned in another area and focused on that and then my physical. She made great recommendations, explain everything so I understood from the payment, medications, next steps everything you would need to know about your visit then and your next visit. Dr. Jimenez will definitely be my primary doctor.
