I cannot recommend Dr. Degala highly enough. After years of recurring issues, she was the one who finally looked deeper and diagnosed my Specific Antibody Deficiency (SAD). Beyond her diagnostic skills, her communication is incredible. She has been extremely responsive through the patient portal and even personally called me to coordinate next steps when my symptoms began to involve other specialties. She truly cares about her patients and doesn't stop until there is a plan in place.

Dr Degala was very personable and nice. She listened and asked questions and explained all of her thought processes and what she thought the treatment should be. I would absolutely recommend going to see her if you were looking for an allergist.!

Dr. Degala earned her medical degree at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Bangalore, India. She completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. She completed her Fellowship in Allergy & Immunology also at Henry Ford Hospital. After fellowship, Dr. Degala was in private practice and also worked as a faculty physician at Henry Ford Hospital teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. In addition, she was involved in research on inner city asthma and sublingual immunotherapy sponsored by the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases. She also presented and was published for her work and research on asthma medication use during pregnancy.
As a Florida native, Dr. Degala is happy to be back in the sunshine state. Dr. Degala has been featured and interviewed in the local news and has been a writing contributor to the Tampa Bay Times focusing on topics related to allergies and asthma. She likes to educate and help people of all ages with their allergy needs. She brings her experience and expertise and looks forward to treating allergies and asthma, preventing allergic reactions, helping with hives, eczema, food allergies, sinus issues, immune issues, etc. Her main goal is to provide compassionate, personalized, quality care to help kids and adults stay active and healthy in spite of allergies. Dr. Degala also has an interest in total body wellness and has begun a weight loss clinic here at the practice.

Dr. Degala is a sensitive, compassionate and kind person who is also a knowledgeable and patient physician. She works with me to find answers and solutions to my breathing problems. She is proactive, helping me to be healthier to avoid future illnesses. I am thankful to be in her care. All of her office staff are friendly and efficient, too!

I can’t remember when I started seeing Dr. Daga, but I know that my health has improved steadily since I have been her patient. She is an excellent doctor. She listens ad works with me so that I receive the best medical care.
