I've had lower back pain for 5 years. For 5 years I've been going to many doctors who all told me the same thing: here are some ineffective pain killers, when it get's bad we'll give you a cortizone shot, do some physical therapy in our nice facilities and come back in a couple of months. The pain just kept getting worse and it began to negatively affect my mood. After a couple of visits with Dr. Hosny, he suggested that the majority of my pain was coming from a source no other doctor had identified before (because they never really spent the time to actually look). He recommended a simple procedure that reduced my pain by at least 70%. I'm very grateful for Dr. Hosny's help. You can tell Dr. Hosny loves his work. He is a great doctor that listens, which unfortunately, is very rare these days. His team is also very friendly and knowledgeable.

After completing his residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, Columbia University in NYC, Dr. Hosny completed an Interventional Spine fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, MA.
Since then, and for over 15 years, Dr. Hosny has been the leading physician in Interventional Spine in NYC & NJ. His practice is dedicated to the non-surgical treatment of painful conditions including: neck & back pain, herniated & bulging discs, sciatica, joint pain, sports injuries and other orthopedic conditions.

After my first visit with Dr hosny I felt like a new person. I suffer from terrible headaches and neck pain. I had tried almost everything to help with this pain that was so severe, sometimes I was not able to function throughout the day. Dr hosny knew right away that the headaches were caused by my stiff neck. He was very patient and professional and explained everything thoroughly. I tend to be a nervous patient and ask many questions, but he was very reassuring. I received localized neck injections that almost immediately gave me the relief I was hoping for. Everyone in the office is warm and friendly and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I always take notice of the office, which was immaculate and made me feel like I was right at home and not at a cold scary doctors office. I already feel great after my first visit, and can't wait to feel even more amazing after the next.

New York Pain Care absolutely changed my life. Dr. Hosny, Ms. Musto, Tracey, Dr. Osnavarian, Dr. Mehta and the super caring nurses and reception staff - truly incredible. Ms. Musto diagnosed in 5 minutes an issue that plagued me for 4 years that countless neurologists missed. Everyone here is so warm and kind and thorough. Cannot recommend more!!!

Dr. Hosny and his coworkers are amazing. He is a champ of a doc and I trust his opinion more than any doc I have met in ages. He diagnosed something rare in my body in minutes and did so correctly. Once you get to see him it is great but there is some scheduling problems. If you have an appointment on Zoc Doc, it does not mean he is available as his scheduling system and Zoc Doc are not in sync. You would do good to phone the office and make sure. Again, he is very very good. He explains exactly what he is looking for and he explains the problem to you.
The scheduling error did have me see 2 very good And one good NP over 2 visits. The doc even followed-up with a call. The problem was in no way the level of service I was getting, but that was hard to know whose pills to drink, advice to follow as I had more than one doc.
His staff are also good, Chris in particular. You get the idea that they care and they are well trained. They do extra efforts to make sure your insurance pays when you are getting scans even if it is with a 3rd party provider.
HIGHLY recommend and I generally do not like doctors . Just follow a Zoc doc appointment up with a call.

While the doctor seems skilled, the facility in Riverdale like a factory; very impersonal. I was flopped onto the table, he came in and injected me, and I went home. They had a very good physical therapist when I went there, which was a real plus.

Dr Hosny was extremely kind and very knowledgeable. Because I had been in pain for a long period of time, he felt it was important to help me right away and immediately did a treatment instead of asking me to schedule another appointment and come back despite the fact that it took much longer than one appointment time. I also met and worked with two other doctors in the office as well as a nurse practitioner and a surgical nurse. Each person was professional and very kind, and they worked well together as a team. As a healthcare professional with 35 years of experience, I have both worked with and been a patient of many physicians and nurses both in hospitals and out. This medical practice - including the front office staff - was excellent, and I will be referring them patients who need their services in the future.

i went to Dr. Hosny several times. It felt more like a bank than a physician's office. After one injection, a woman from billing called me at home the same night to find out when I was going to pay. I watched him take envelopes from the day's mail and open to pull out checks--in the procedure room, with a team present. Even his co-workers said they had never seen anything like it.
Worst thing is, I got no relief. I think he is an example of some of the worst in the "pain treatment" branch of medicine who count on the patient's intense pain to not be interactive and to make a lot of money. And the financial pressure certainly doesn't help assuage the pain. I went to another doctor and immediately got help from the injections, without that added financial pressure as well. It was so much more professional, and had no "facilities fee" that Dr. Hosny added to the bill, which seemed to me inordinately high in the first place.

Has already helped with my chronic, debilitating headaches with medication and an occipital nerve block. Looked at the issue in a different way than past doctors and didn't tell me the pain was "all in my head" like others have. Highly recommend!

I actually have only seen Josephine Musto who is the Nurse Practitioner and works with Dr. Hosny. She's been a god send. Extremely experienced and qualtiifed to do almost everything that Dr. Hosny can. The injections to my neck that she has administered have helped tremendously. I would check her out.

Dr. Hosny did everything within his power to make sure that I was comfortable, understood my diagnosis as well as possible treatment options, and took extra time to make sure I felt safe and secure within his care. Excellent Doctor!! Wonderful experience from the front desk to Dr. Hosny. Dr. Hosny is a very experienced doctor with excellent bedside manner. He explained everything about my condition in detail, was not rushed, answered all my questions and even gave me his email if I had any other questions. The staff is top notch and know what they are doing. They call you after you make an appointment with ZocDoc with further instructions. I called the doctor on a Sunday as I forgot if I should stop one of my medications and got him on the phone right away, no answering service....straight to his cell phone. I will definitely be returning and recommending him to my friends and family.
