Amy Jo has been on the mental health field for over two years with beginnings as RN at state hospital and then becoming certified in mental health nursing at acute stabilization unit. Her passion for the field propelled her to return to school to become a PMHNP. Amy Jo believes one of the most important parts of obtaining successful outcome is by listening to her patients and tailoring their treatment plan to their individual needs and desired results. She works hard for to develop a strong relationship with patients and takes the time to answer questions and provide options as well education. Outside of her practice, she enjoys camping with her husband, spending time with family and dogs. She knows the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance while helping others to achieve wellness in her patients’ lives. In addition to being a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, she recently obtained perinatal mental health certification as she continues her education to improve patient outcomes.
