Kate has over nine years of experience in outpatient community mental health, telepsychiatry, inpatient psychiatry, dual diagnosis treatment, addiction treatment, and administrative nursing with an additional six-year background in critical care and inpatient psychiatric nursing. Kate provides a patient centered holistic approach with empathetic listening that incorporates the patient in the decision-making process for personalized care. Kate is passionate about community mental health and reaching underserved areas through advances in technology. Aside from clinical patient facing practice, Kate also teaches, precepts psychiatric nurse practitioner students, and trains new providers in several areas. Kate is a classically trained dancer who believes practicing psychiatry is an excellent way of combining her love for the arts and passion for helping others. Outside of her medical practice, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, swimming, rowing, snuggling with her two dogs, and listening to true crime podcasts.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

After you request your appointment, you will be sent an invite link for Brightside Health. You will need to enter your insurance and payment information to confirm your appointment.During your initial consultation we will craft a treatment plan personalized to your needs, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed. You will also be able message me directly at anytime via the messaging section of your Brightside Health portal - a tool where will also track your progress, access resources, and see your treatment plan details.

My experience option never came. I never had the opportunity for my session to start, I was never contacted by Practitioner. I was very disappointed.

My first appointment was rejected, my second accepted and she never sent the email for the meeting. I waited a week for this appointment and had I known she would flake without any kind of response, I would have chosen a different system entirely. This is a joke and it made my life more difficult than it already is.
